Hi there

Just wanted to pop in a quick introduction,

I was diagnosed in '05ish with the crohns disease after loosing a bunch of weight/having trouble walking/bloody stools etc. so my ma and I bounced around from doctor to doctor to medicine man to accupuncturist etc. without a whole lot of improvement...eventually we were recommended a certain prominent crohns specialist to whom I think I might owe my life. A few months later, we were able to get an appointment. I was down to about 5'4, 60lbs so as you can imagine I was admitted on the spot. I lived at Comer Childrens Hospital for 3 months until they felt I was healthy enough to continue the TPN at home and return to finish the remainder of my freshman year. Anyway theres the brief version...since then its been more or less smooth sailing. I've been tryna pull myself out of a minor relapse the past couple months. I've come across this site so many times and found so much useful information in the past 6 years of crohns googling, I finally decided to make an account... In some ways I think a herd of crohnies knows quite a bit more than your average GI
:grr1d:

thanks y'all and best of luck to all of you

I'm sorry to hear you've had a minor relapse lately. What is your current treatment regimen?

All my best to you.
