How big is your stoma?

So my Dot (Ileostoma) is about 8 days old now. At first it was 45mm/45mm. But now it has shrinked down to 33mm/34mm.

How big is yours?

I use a bag with a 28mm hole. Your stoma will probably shrink some more yet.

It was quite a long time ago - in 2000 - but I think that it took about 2 months to get to its current size.

43mm roughly but he is an oval so he is hard to accurately measure. He likes to wiggle when I try.

I was 38mm immediately after surgery, I'm unsure when it shrunk, but it is currently about 29mm.

Mine's 45mm...but I have a colostomy so he's bound to be big.

My ileo went from 42 cm (or something like that) to 28 cm over a 3-month span, and has stayed at 28 cm.

Still having a hard time getting used having my Dot, but its getting better each day.

It will get better I've had mine 5 months now and I forget its there most of the time it's just a very small part of daily life to change/empty.good luck
