Hiya! :D

Now that we've seen each other and heard some voices (haha), I wanted to know - how tall are you?

Me? According to Josh, I'm a 7-foot Viking :)

But in reality... I'm just a really, really, really tall 5'0".

5'3" here. You know, I can be 5'4" or even 5'6" on occassion ... maybe I should just say I'm 5'6" from now on? Do you think people would buy it? As they're looking down at me. hehe

My daughter is almost 10 and is already about 4'11" (last I measured her anyway). Eek ... didn't get that height from me!

Even though I feel 10' tall and bullet proof a lot, I'm shrinking down and am at 5'12" right now!:)

Six feet three inches.

Tall enough to hit your head on most anything. 200 lbs and that is my optimal weight. I am trying not to grow wider.

Dan

I'm 5'7'' and three quarters. So very nearly 5'8'', but not close enough to get that measure when I go to the doctor. :(

You're terrible at polls. I'm 5'11 and there's no option for me to choose.

I DID put it in there! I even had someone check me because of last time!!!!!!!! I had 8 options, and for some reason, it only did 7. :ybatty:

i've expanded the range on option 5 so the poll covers all heights now :)

Don't you just love being in the lil shit club? Well, not in the literal weshitallthetimeandwe'reshort club. But just the cool I'm short club. :) hehe

hahaha well it *could* be the we shit all the time club too. at least, i used to i mean. not anymore.

wait actually i do!! hahah!! i literally am shitting all the time.

yeah we could literally be that .. so our title of lil shit fits accordingly ... but I don't think we all want that .... so lets just go with our being short and stuff? hehe

At last check I was 6'. Age may be making me shrink, but I'm sticking with 6. I'm one of the last of the Amazons! :D

6' 3"... which I don't consider tall.. but apparently the clothing manufacturers do.
Tall clothes all cost more... so shouldn't petite clothes cost even less? Yeah, right

I had a staff sergent who was 6' 8", and an ancester who was listed as a 'true' giant... I don't know how they coped. For me, its the hassle of airplane seats, or worse yet... low hanging branches over sidewalks that aren't well lit at nite

Or when I first moved up here... I wanted to buy myself my dream car for xmas.
Went to the dealership, opened the door, climbed in, only to discover that my forehead was jammed against the windshield. So, for all you lil shits, us big turds don't have it any easier.

6'2" - a height I quite like, except when trying to fit my knees into cramped aeroplane seats

Maybe we should just have two options on the poll: lil shits and big turds

Am I seriously going to be the smallest one at the reunion-union?!

I'm wearing stilts.
Ris, you and me both. Embrace you petiteness...it comes in handy on airplane flights:)

I would, but being so small, no one ever has taken me seriously. Blaaah...
I understand....yep, treat you like a kid.....Very discriminating. I hate it...I could go on and on. Plus, it's so hard to find a stinkin' pair of jeans not made for my grandma.....But, it does have its benefits, I am trying to be positive.

Anyone who had Crohn's young, did your illness affect your growth?
Yep. I'm definitely shorter than I should be. But My wife said I'm just tall enough for her, so that's fine.

I was diagnosed when I was 12 and after a few years of being shorter than everyone I knew, now I'm 19 and 5 ft 11. I love my height! But just annoys me in the whole body mass index thing because when it comes to that I'm really underweight and wish I was shorter so height/weight ratio would be a little bit closer together.

I am 5'4. I was diagnosed when I was 14, but sick before that. I was told that my Crohn's effected my height, but all of my sisters are shorties too so maybe not.

My best friend is 6'1". When we met at 12, I was barely 5 foot and she was already 5' 8". We loved each other so much that we used to dress alike and pretend to be twins. We got the same haircuts and everything! Such dorks! :)

Any photos, Jer's Girl? That really made me laugh.
When I was 11, me and my best mate were both tall, we were head and shoulders above the rest of the kids in the class... except I was a fat blob and he was skinny as a beanpole... wish I'd thought of the twins thing then!

I'm 16 years old and am about 5ft3/4 and have had crohn's since i was about 6. I Think this is due to malnutrition and prednisolone (that i believe stunts your growth) i know I'm not naturally small because my dad is 6FT+ and my mum is 5ft7 and my sister who is 3 years younger than me is 5ft7 (high schools really fun for me) :) But i'm still growing!

Yea everyone thought I was gonna be a giant lol

I was almost a full foot taller than all the kids my age back then

had too play open mens basketball as they wouldn't let me play against the others as was unfair

5' 11" unless I'm at work standing on an6' stepladder. Than I'm, let see, 5'11 + 6' = carry the 1 is 11' 11" or in big trouble for standing on the top of the ladder. Its not a step.

Pirate you are still a piece of work :ylol2:

I started out 5.5and a half and now 5.4 Help me I'm melting...melting ok shrinking.

When I said that too my mom, she almost needed her poise (depends0 ROTF laughing.. I have my moments, just takes longer lol.

Wow, Scifi-enthusiast...pretty tall then. Most people I've met with crohns don't go past 5'10....not commonly anyway.

Good to see a bit of height.

I was the tallest in primary and half way up to high school then I stopped growing lol.

5'9"
I come from a short family. I was the tallest in my family, including cousins aunts and uncles, until my younger brother hit a growth spurt.

Meg's 5'2" but have just had her bone age xray results back and have been told that her bone age is slower than her real age (16 and a half) and that she still has a year to grow!!!!! And that now she has had surgery we should see a rapid growth spurt!!!

5'6.5"

Was flaring and on prednisone a lot during my early teen years and was 5'2" until I started growth hormone when I was 17. I would have grown more with it but I couldn't stay in remission.

Another 6'5" here

It's funny you talking about the height difference at meetups, I'm a pissed I didn't make it to a Sydney meetup recently which resulted in a photo of a 6'5" guy towering over a 5'1" girl, though I get the impression she's not one to get intimidated :)

Well, always told everyone I was 5'2". I blew out my knee and the crutches they brought me were too short. I am actually 5'4". The two inches do not take me out of the lil shit running??
