Howday !

Hi.
Just joined today, although been a lurker on and off for a while.
My name is Jane, I'm 48 and have lived with Crohn's for 26 years.
Just over three weeks ago I had my entire colon removed and fitted with an ileostomy, I am now totally drug free, and feeling fantastic !.

Hi Jane and welcome.

I had mine removed many years ago. It gave me my life back.
Is their a plan going forward to keep the crohn's in check?

Sending you my support.

Hi Dave
Not as such just now, I see my GI consultant every 3 months, but also have pretty much instant access to the GI nursing team if I need it.

I was on Humira and Methotrexate, but neither was keeping the Crohn's at bay, luckily my Colon was the only bit affected, but after so many years, it was in pretty bad shape, so had to go.
I'm hoping I'll be drug free, for a wee while at least.
