Just wanted to stop in to tell everyone hello! And to tell ya a little about myself since I'm new here. I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in Aug. of 1992. I've had a few surgeries one in which I had an ileostomy for about 4 years then I had it reversed at Cleveland Clinic. I am currently on prevacid and remicade treatments every 4 weeks. it seems to be doing well it beats the prednisone. I hate preds with a passion. They did nothing but harm than good for my body! anyways there's alot more to my story but i hope this will just break the ice!! hope to talk soon!

:welcome: Meadow Ann....We are happy to have you. Hope to see you around....There is a Remicade club thread in the treatment section. You can add some of your experience there if you like. :)

Welcome, been on pred for the first time day 9 I think . Not sure if I like it either. looking forward to hearing the rest of your story. new to forum myself . Welcome Welcome :)

Welcome MA... I don't blame you for wanting to avoiding Prednisone. It is evil and the cheapest drug.. I have avoided it as of today, my Gi always puts me on it so, I opted for the Entocort.

So glad you are doing well and you found us!

Hi MA. Welcome to the home for Crohnies. Glad you joined us. It looks like you've had a lot of experiance with CD and you will be a great help with teaching the newly DX members of our little family. Everybody here has a story. There all differant, but yet the same. It seems to be that there is a pattern of trying to reach the diagnosed stage of this monster and almost everyone has taken the same path to get there.
Like my little sister Shaz said, "This place is awesome."

Welcome Ann,
Hope to learn more of your story in the future, and that your treatments continue to work for you. :)
