I know..I post a lot on this site so please excuse another one!i can't seem to find what I can eat without having pain and diarrhea. I've tried it all.. High protein, low carb; extremely health and clean diet from all processed food; processed food, fast food, no meat, meat,no veg,veg thats stwaked or roasted.. I haven't lost weight but I dread eating now! I've even tried elemental diets. Does anyone have any advice please?i hate food but get hungry):

Ugh. I feel your pain. I dread eating because it brings on painful diarrhea. I wish I had an answer for you. At this point, I eat as little a possible and eat only what I am in the mood for. At least then, I was happy for the moment when I was eating. Good luck!

Nothing completely stops my pain, but the BRAT diet (Banana Rice Applesauce and Toast) slows it down a tad.
Not sure what the laws are in Kentucky, but you might want to ask your doctor about Medical Marijuana. There's no research saying it makes crohn's better, however it stops my nausea and increses my appetite. I would have starved if I hadn't tried it. It even slows my bowels so I can go out for short periods of time.
There is a thread on here that has a lot of stories and information you can check it out.

Thanks Abby..the laws in Kentucky on marijuana are very harsh. There's no medical marijuana here legally. So for me its just not an option. I'm also a recovering addict so there's that concern although I would consider it if it were available in this state and under a doctors care. I tried it once in Arizona and it did help a lot with nausea..not so much the pain for me. Thanks though!

:-( That's too bad.
In that case the brat diet is what I've used ever since I was a kid. If you can tolerate an egg, that is a good thing to throw in for some quick protein.

I am about to start the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. (lots of variations). It has shown to reduce symptoms of 75% of crohns patients, and sometimes can make it look like there was no damage ever done. (Here's hoping) Ever tried that?

Have you tried meal replacements like Ensure or Boost? They're easy to digest, and they're liquid, so there's less of the "fear factor" about eating (at least for me).

Also, you might try making pancakes using coconut milk. Coconut milk is high in calories and easy to digest, and pancakes are plain and nice.

Good luck!

I don't have issues with my weight right now mostly because I've been on steroids off and on since mar h. It's more of a love/hate relationship.im kind of a goodie and love gray ingredients. I've been vegetarian in the oat but can't do it now..it hurts way too much and I end up having jut mucus,a bit of blood.and completely undigested food. I've tried all sorts of diets and also, not eating.ive also been trying a more elemental diet with low carb high protein drinks which helps some. It's just kind of sad that I can't enjoy the food I fix. I made great Gus smoke low spice and it about killed me!
