If my two scopes come back saying...

The scopes only see the very beginning and very end of the small intestine - and as you probably already know, Crohn's can manifest anywhere in the digestive tract. So no, normal/clear scopes do not automatically mean it's "just IBS" - if that ends up being the case, ask for more tests to look at your small intestine. Have you had anything like a CTE or MRE, pill cam, or small bowel follow-thru? Those would be the ones to ask about in the event that the scopes don't find anything.

I hope you don't even need to worry about this though, I hope the scopes find something relevant so that you can get some proper treatment and relief and get back to living your life. Good luck and keep us posted! Oh, and make sure they take lots of biopsies with the scopes too. Some things (such as microscopic colitis) can ONLY be seen on biopsy.

My specialist said he will take some biopsies and will look under a microscope at them and see if they show anything. I've had an MRI on my small bowel which showed nothing.

I hope I don't need to worry either but knowing my luck....

Thank you!

I hope that your luck turns around and that you're able to get definitive answers from the scopes. I know what you mean though. My scopes, scans, blood work, etc all came back normal so I'm still undiagnosed (I'm fortunate though to have a good GP and an okay GI who both take me seriously and are treating me for IBD.) So try not to get too down if the scopes and biopsies come back normal - that was the case for me and it turns out I do probably have IBD, it's just hiding really well. If your doctors are good, they'll treat you the patient who is obviously suffering, not your supposedly normal test results.
