I'm scared - end of "The Good Life?"

I don't know if I should be posting here. Or at all, for that matter. But I'm scared. And I know you guys know what it's like.

Background for newbies:

29-yr-old female, sick off and on since contracting H. pylori at age 10 or 11. Got really sick in 2005. Couldn't find reason why, even after way too many tests. Finally calmed down after 4 months of hell. Still sick every day, but not as bad, until 2008, when the you-know-what hit the roof. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, bloody diarrhea at times, extreme weight loss, abdo pain... had more tests done. Dx'd with some form of colitis, which would then be taken back, dx'd as another form, taken back again, then left up in the air, dx'd..... aaarrrgghhhh!!!!! I was on so many meds...

Skip ahead to September 2009. Started experiencing more symptoms: pain in upper abdo between bottom of ribcage, vomiting bile, diarrhea w/bile, couldn't digest fat (had to take Creon because my body stopped producing the enzyme that broke fat down).... just overall awful.
Finally, after IMP suggested I get a HIDA scan for my gallbladder, I did it - and guess what wasn't working!!! 27% ejection fraction. Had that sucker taken out in November and HAD been feeling great.... till a couple days ago.

This is why I'm scared.

I'm now having some of the old, familiar feelings and problems I was having before - pain in lower left abdo, pain in upper abdo, nausea, explosive diarrhea, sharting (yeah, how sexy is that one?! I really thought that part was over....), certain foods bother me again, fatigue (but that could also be caused by waking up every hour due to all-night nosebleeds), sudden urgency....

I've had the best 1 month+ of my life, and I really don't want to give that up! I'm scared that all this has been was a glimpse into what my life COULD be like.

Gallbladder removal took away all of my symptoms. Like.... I never had CD/UC at all!!!! And I was thinking I never did either. None of the meds ever helped. The scopes never showed anything definitive. When it was taken out, every symptom went with it! Did I ever really HAVE IBD????

Sorry. Again, I don't even know why I'm posting this. Just scared, I guess.

I am in your same boat at the moment but my pain is lower right. I was losing mucous the last few days which is normal after my days... but this was alot worse, and seems like no matter what I eat it hurts. I was doing well for a bit too, and now I am worried, the pain is radiating to the back of the intestines. I have exhausted all meds, and I am not going back on Prednisone. I will stick to fluids and give my bowels a rest. I didnt sign up for this either. I told my husband this is not a normal flare and the first thing he says, is don't stress and get yourself in a tivy, makes it worse. HOW can we not worry??? Here is a hug for you ((hug)).

First of all why are you having all night nosebleeds??? You need to get that found out and fixed.
I'm sorry your syptoms are returning, hopefully it's just your body getting used to the gall bladder being removed? I hope so.

I'm sorry Ris - that SUCKS!!! ((MANY HUGS)) to you!!! I guess it might be time to revisit the GI doc? Did you have to do any antibiotics for the surgery?

Wanted to ask if you are using a humidifier for the nosebleeds - my daughter was having these horrendous nose bleeds and a humidifier fixed her right up. I like the ultrasonic kind with NO blasted filter to have to change - cool, not warm mist.

Hugs to you - hope it passes!!!

Oh you poor poor thing. Could it be a problem/inflammation at the site of your gall bladder op???

Maybe infection?

What rubbish news. Have you seen your GI?

I am thinking of you and sending hugs x x x

I'm so sorry my new Eeyore lovin pal! ((((hugs))))

I wish I had answers for you, but it seems they're hard to come by these days.

Oh Ris, I am so sorry to hear this! As someone else said, perhaps it is some sort of comnplication at your surgery site. Lets hope that's all it is and they can fix you right up!
We love you here, too much to have you being sick again just so you can stay! ;)

Hugs, Ris!

I'm so sorry you are feeling the symptoms creep back. GO TO THE DOCTOR! Don't be scared...maybe it's just your body adjusting to life w/o it's gall bladder. But, we are here for you. And, we like giving hugs.

Kimberlie may have a point. A girl I worked with had all kinds of bowel problems after a hysterectomy... don't underestimate how much an operation can mess you up... temporarily. Hope you feel better soon... if not, do what Fenway says and get to the doc's.
Best wishes

Ris my friend, i am so sorry to hear that you have these symptoms back. please don't try to be a toughy go back to the doc asap! (could it be stress because of all of the worries?) I hope you are feeling better soon, please let me know if there is anything i can do. ((((Jerman hugs))))

Ugh. hope you feel better soon. Fenway is right, go back to the doc...we all hate it...I'm sorry you are feeling so bad...Sue

This must be so disapointing for you :(
Though I think the fact that you were feeling so well is a good thing. It shows that you can be ok, they just havnt sorted it out yet. What tests have you had? I know this is probably a long answer. Maybe you just need to have them again. Like something might not have shown up last time but if it is crohns maybe it has moved and they will see it this time?
Just keep fighting!

Thanks, guys......
I really appreciate and love you all! Not sure what I'm going to do yet. I'm stubborn and don't want to believe it may be back. IDK.

You know you can always post her Ris. Have you tried any IBS treatments? Could it be possible that your gall bladder was having trouble but you also have IBS and something has been bothering you the past few days. Have you eaten anything out of the ordinary or something that's a trigger food? Are you eating too much fiber or not enough?

I hope you feel better and don't have IBD. I"m praying for you

Ack, I'm not sure how I accidentally missed this post. My poor Rissy -- you've been through so much already. I'm hoping that it's your body adjusting w/out a gallbladder and everything's okay, but like everyone else, I'd recommend seeing a GI specialist just to see what he has to say.
