Immunologists create a model of Crohn's Disease

I do not know if anyone posted this already, but researchers at Cornell were able to model Crohn's Disease using Toxoplasma gondii.

What are your thoughts on the article, the person who wrote it states that they uncovered the cause of Crohn's Disease, I don't know...

Hey BillyJoel,
He hasn't said that he has uncovered the cause of Crohn's, only that he has been able to trigger an immune response (using a parasite) that leads to intestinal damage which is similar to that seen in Crohn's. It's not new, but does reinforce the idea that host immune cells, responding to a trigger, end up doing the damage. Nice close up picture of a lymphocyte!
