Indeterminate colitis, fatigue, permanent stoma

Hi I got diagnosed with indeterminate colitis in 2012 after having my bowel removed in nov 2011. I had signs of both diseases it was too bad to distinguish between the two diseases for this reason I had it made permanent in 2013. Had another op in April this year to remove a blinding ending sinus from my rectum after having complications from the previous op. I had it done 11 weeks ago it was only minor surgery but am always feeling really tired.. Even tho I've been diagnosed with indeterminate colitis and had my bowel removed no longer have the disease. Do I still have IBD? I'm so exhausted it's unbelievable :-( no matter how much sleep I get I'm still tired. Does anyone else who got diagnosed with Indeterminate colitis are you guys the same?

Hi. Indeterminate colitise is the term used when specialists can't rule out crohns or ulcerative colitis specifically. So yes, you could still have IBD. It could be something totally unrelated.

Talk to your doctor.

I hope you feel better soon.

Best wishes.
