Is it really Crohns or a misdiagnosis?

I had vomiting and diarrhea and then was unable to consume any real quantity of food to replace what I was losing. To top it off, over a three week period, I lost 30 lbs. Finally got a specialist to see me. Back to family doc and she says I have a tumour and cancer. It has to come out. Back to specialist and he wants to operate right away. I told him and family doc I don't have a tumour and asked if he would rather have a look with a scope first to verify before a hack and whack procedure. He thought about it. Got me to another specialist(GI doctor) and I was given a pill camera to swallow. No tumour they said. We think it might be a lesion. Think and might are key words here. In the meantime, I'm sent away to wait for an appt. that doesn't come for another 10 months, but in the meantime, I am left to my own designs on how best to get food in me and allow my body to be able to use at least some of it. All during this time, I cannot taste any kind of food....seat, salty, spicy or otherwise. I can however taste lemon juice. In the meantime, I purchased aloe vera juice and health food store hemp oil and took both along with a vegetarian and fruit diet and small quantities of chicken and fish. Finally get to an appt. where they are going to use a scope and take a sample to biopsy. Results come back at apt following a couple months wait. Their assessment of this is that there are indications of possible Crohns.....maybe 95%. There again, the words of supposition. Take these pills is what I am told. Only time now that I have the runs and or vomiting is when I eat at a place where the food is bad; tainted; contaminated. Your choice. I can tell when the food is bad. I taste and smell fishiness. It happened recently at a big name fast food restaurant. I was part way through the burger and realized I had had one bite too many and spit it out. Had to leave as I was on my way to a doctor apt in about 10 minutes. When I got home two hours later, I called Wendy`s restaurant and told the manager that she had better check the mayo and beef as one or both were bad. I spent the next half a day holding a bucket and warming the toilet seat. This has been my experience with eating out. Eating my own food prepared at home is no problem, so I have my doubts about Crohns and the pills prescribed don't stop the bad food problems and symptoms. For my own peace of mind, I will use the aloe vera juice....which I just went back on as the Entocort capsules give me a stomach ache after eating some natural foods, including fruit. Desserts are definitely out of the question....gut ache again. Just saying, this is my experience and I question every time a pill is prescribed and look for alternatives as our bodies are supposed to be able to heal themselves given the right food and application.

Hi. Talk to your doctor about the issues with the Entocort. Maybe they can prescribe something gentler. Since they are ninety five percent sure i would go with the doctor's diagnosis. Sending support.

Thank you ronroush7. I guess I neglected to mention too that there is no lesion there either, so where did that also go? I will however let the doctor know about the Entocort effects on me. It's not a listed side effect.
Cheers.

Bedt to you. Maybe the lesion healed on it's own.
