Is weight loss normal when in remission?

My son is 19 and was diagnosed with Crohns 1/2016. It has been the hardest thing we have dealt with. He is in remission and is on remicade. However he is consistently losing weight. Has anyone else had this occur and is it normal? We have went to the Dr. and they ran a bunch of tests that came back normal. This is very concerning. Any info would be helpful.
