It happened before.

Meds stop working, doctor just does an endless battery of tests while I get more sick but doesn't offer me any new treatment options.

New doctor time, I went through humira, cimzia and stelara with zero improvement.

I just had a bad colonoscopy and she wants to start running a bunch of tests.

I am failing to understand why, we've gone down this road.

They're gonna find inflammation, we already know I have inflammation, I already had my gall bladder out.

This just seems like a long, torturous road to the next medication for us to try, why do I have to go down it?

I have had the upper GI series, CT scans, MRIs, whatever, you name it. Always the same, inflammation, inconclusive, we're not sure.

I'm not going through it again unless my doctor can explain to me a clear end goal.

That’s so frustrating, I’m sorry. It makes sense to find out the game plan: are you checking for damage, are you trying to decide which new treatment to try, etc.?

They test so inflammation is documented
You took xyz and looked like this on test abc
This documents what was tried and also helps get approval from insurance for the next drug
Depending what the tests look like -how long they give the new drug to work or what one to try .
Some work better in other areas
From a medical standpoint it needs documented and from an insurance standpoint as well
Fingers crossed it goes quickly and they find a good med soon
