Trev, have you ever considered that because your time zone is way ahead of ours, we will always be posting after you?

Sandy,

I am doing ok. I had a set back today. I had blood work done earlier this week and they found that I still have an infection, so my doc put me on another antibotic (Cipro). I was already on two others (flagl and macrobid). So I am a little concerned about what is going on and why I can't shake the infection. I jsut sent an email to my doc, so I hope he will be able to make an appointment for me this next week...

I like your comment above! And yes, I am very musical! I like to sing and play guitar. Hence my name!

i think we should change this to, FIRST ONE WINS, and if you look back, you will that was me, either way im going to win. outlast, outplay, comes to mind.

I noticed a long time ago that you were on the first page, Trev. That is why we are going to be last.

Ha ha!! I'll try not to! :)

Well.. I am done it is past 2:00AM here so I need to go find my bed. Good night friends.. tomorrow is another day.

:sun:

I was just going to say the same thing. I lied, I'm going to bed myself. Trev, it's back to the night shift/day shift (which ever way you look at it). My phone died and I had to plug it in, and the movie we were watching ended. See y'all tomorrow.

723, Haven't you noticed I haven't been here much lately? Hmm, better start doing some pm. Are we friends yet? I can't remember. No sleep, no brain, ha, ha! I've had neurology visit, PT x2 days, home nurse, GYN reports arrived (there's an alien inside me, no one could possibly have all this internal stuff goin on.) GI visit, endoscopy today, college books to purchase, still have to get co-op book. Had mandatory co-op meeting one night. Been feeling crappy most of the week.... had to get Rx's for dd and myself, the list just goes on and on... When will it ever end?! I want to have some fun!!!!!!!

Trev, that's country, not Country. Mind your grammar please.

And for that, I'm taking the win.

jamie, do you play any TSO (Trans-Siberian Orchestra) on your guitar? My daughter plays it on the piano. Awesome! Just amazing! I couldn't play one hand that fast let alone two. Ha, ha!

Just a reminder Trev, I've got this win so you can close your eyes now. Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite!

NL, i also live in the country with horses and cows and the odd sheep. when we parked our bus on our boundry the horse next door used to poke his head in our door and dribble. sorry to take your win, bed time for me, catch you all later.

I turn my back for a while - new people - well that's bad enough as I am trying to get rid of you all to win - and then the usual players who seem to think they can beat me to the prize.

I am taking a hard line with you all today - so no cheery chat. I enjoy being a ray of sunshine.

No but I think we should make a stand against them Trev - it is all getting too fluffy around here. Lets talk sport and beer

Suck it up Robert, the "girls" are here to stay. ...and it's my win. You won't get rid of us that easily. Wait until the rest of the women read your post. Boy are you gonna get it!

By the way has anyone a suggestion for a good read - I need something for my Kindle. You know what I would not like - so no 'love stories'

Just a minute, there's a short story that's an introduction to the next series by Ted Dekker. I'll slip downstairs and grab my kindle....

Robert, Good read: The Keeper by Ted Dekker & Tosca Lee, A short story prequel to Forbidden. Then of course you would have to read Forbidden and let me know how it is. I.e. should I read it too.

Thanks Glori (like the new photo thing - what is it?)

I will buy that book - first I will just check a review because you might be tricking me into buying something unsuitable :ylol: I will let you know

Oh, no. I wouldn't do that. I take books way too seriously. My son, who is currenlty deployed, loves to read Ted Dekker books. Hubby says some of Ted Dekker's book are too gruesome for him. Yet he reads them anyway just so he can have quality discussion with his son. Way cool!

By the way, that's a Glo Worm.

Naturelover aka Glo Worm.

The Keeper is free on Kindle - I will get it today - only 16 pages though!

Thanks Glori - I will let you know

Like I said, short story intro. Quick read when you need one. :cool2: (Ted Dekker is an Adult story writer)

There's another series that you can find under teen reading. It's called Among the Hidden, the first book in the Shadow Children Sequence, by Margaret Peterson Haddix. She's an excellent writer. Even though the book is written for teens, many adults around here have gotten hooked on the series. Each successive book gets more involved and you really have to keep on your toes to keep the characters, various plots, etc. straight. Keeps the ole' noggin working. Hubby was caught reading the series again over the last couple of weeks. I had gotten a hold of a spare copy of the first book to give to my PCP and I came home one day to find hubby reading it. LOL! Again, this is another author that my oldest son turned the whole family onto.

Jason Cronnin The Passage. Read it last year and waiting in anticipation for the sequal,The Twelve, due out in October.don't have a Kindle.prefer books to hold and pass on.Much more intimate...........winning

I prefer books as well. My hubby got me a kindle for my birthday and he and my daughter have had it all this time. (my birthday is in November) I just used it for the first time this past week. It will take some getting used to as it is basically a mini computer. I haven't a clue yet how to smoothly use it. I just keep pressings buttons until I get what I want. LOL! yet another win for me...

scottsma, you take over for now. I'm going to get a bite to eat and see if I can get some sleep. It's now 7:06 am here and I haven't slept a wink. Insomnia is part of RSD. It's a bummer.

See, you made me almost lose because the three minutes in between my post and yours up above I had to go play a game of sudoku.

Okay, time's up. I've got to go play real life. foster son is coming, foster daughter is going go for awhile. I'm winning.

Glori, I just added you to my friends list and put in a request although I could've sworn we did this already when we talked the first few times. Sorry!!!
Also God bless you for all you are going thru! I can't imgine.
My sister has the T.S.O. on CD and plays it at Christmas for us every year when we go over my parents. They are so talented. Well, have a great day now and get some rest!!! Teresa:heart:

Hi and welcome back to Robert and Glori! We missed you! I can't believe you were cleaning all that time Robert and Glori, all you do, WOW!:sign0085:

I'm back! I just found out that, according to Doug's GI (who is also my GI as of this year), he has me diagnosed with IBS. I knew I had "issues," but I didn't realize I actually had that diagnosis until he sent me in the mail a request to participate in an IBS study. I always felt bad that I hog so much of your "last one wins" forum, but now I can say I have two half reasons to be here, and two half reason makes a whole, right? Now I win.

Welcome to the Ibs club Sandy! May as well join us if you can't beat us. LOL!

Sandy,
I got a request in the mail to participate in a new experimental drug for crohn's. They would pay me of course. But, seriously, would you be a guinea pig for a drug co. after seeing all those law suits on TV? Those are drugs that were already approved. That is crazy, and dangerous. But, people must do it. Not me!:shifty:

How strange - a seemingly random recruitment for people to trial a drug. I wouldn't do it - says the man smoking cigars.

Steelers or Browns - not sure yet !

Teresa, you snuck in there again. I know about your message, just haven't read it all yet. Busy household today, both kids, Ashley is mad, Ashley gone for couple hours, but she will be sulking when she comes back, them Mom from Salt Lake and little sis from Indiana coming. (only about three hours of hours notice and already a mad house. Otherwise it would be great! I really miss my sis who lives a zillion miles away.

Gotta go, but I win because of all that!

Loved my 4 1/2 hour win.

Robert, Doubled checked with hubby, Ted Dekker's writings are intense. What type of genre are you into. Sci Fi, Mystery, Suspense, Comedy or what?

Been cleaning all day. Got a little bit of shut eye this morn. It was nice. Still... So much to do, so much to do.

723, got your friend, accepted. Awesome!

Sandy, how did the confrontation go? I'm guessing all parties are till alive, hee, hee.

Gotta run, been soaking the area under my dressing with a moisturizing antibiotic. Time to clean it now and re-dress the port site.:stinks:

Hey everyone! Do you like my new avatar? My girlfriend sent it to me. Just in case you're wondering what it is, it's a Glo Worm!

Naturelover aka Glo Worm

Trev, don't get too wet!

I'm taking a break before my guests arrive (especially my Mom, she can complain at the strangest things. Do all moms do that or is it just mine?) Oto (short for Otoniel, a Guatemalan name), our foster son, has been trying to help to the best of his ability because he is hoping we will pay him. Really, the only ones I consider guests are sort of my Mom and sis, because I see them sooooo seldom. I am going to prepare a beef stroganoff, veggies, and who knows what else. time to go shower and calm down. (why do I get nervous with family?)

Hey, Glori, the big confrontation the other day turned out no big deal, but today, she wanted more money than we had agreed for a little outing and had a temper tantrum (huge) because we wouldn't give her more. She has no sense of delayed gratification.

Sandy, Well, is the house still standing? Sorry to hear about Ashley's huge temper tantrum. Your a special lady to love those kids unconditionally and care for the. I'm sending you extra blessings.

finnished my job and didnt get wet, now to balance the driveshaft on the car and im finished for the day, ready to go away tomorrow.

Hi everyone,
Busy day, just want to say hi to you all. Sandy, hope all went well today with your fam. I'll be busy tomrrow too so I'll try to pst in the evening.
Naturelover, love your glow worm. reminds me of the 70's:rosette1:

G.J., Big Buns , Glori, Cheryl, Carol, Trysha, Teresa, (am I missing any ... I always forget something because of the hole in my head. Ladies?) I think we have been getting better at reforming the boys.
Robert and Trev seem a little more subdued.

I missed you though, Wallath.

it was great until lunch time.

What's the matter, sweetums? You know you can tell us .

As Frank Burns said on M.A.S.H., it's nice to be nice to the nice. Nice is such a nice word, don't you think?

Dear Trev, we really do like you amidst this friendly banter.

:dance::dance::dance::dance:wah wah.... they all cried as the kiwi at the edge of the world claimed his full and final win.........no drugs here sir, just sheer guts to tough it out..well just a few....as I said way back, it's like you have an elephant in the room and you just can't ignore it ....you just have to do something or it will come roaring at you........win win win ...wah wah they cried....:sheep::sheep::sheep::sheep::sheep::sheep::kiss::kiss::kiss::kiss::kiss:

hi Wallath.
sorry to take your win.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and another thing - posts from men on here are generally one or two lines long - but the ladies always write a novel - yap, yap, yap

except how to start an arguement with a women,

just start talking.

My wife sat down on the couch next to me as I was flipping channels.
She asked, 'What's on TV?'
I said, 'Dust.'
And then the fight started...
----------

My wife was hinting about what she wanted for our upcoming
Anniversary. She said, 'I want something shiny that goes from 0 to 150 In about 3 seconds.'
I bought her a scale.
And then the fight started...
----------

When I got home last night, my wife demanded that I take her someplace Expensive... So, I took her to a petrol station.
And then the fight started...

I don't know how to have short posts, but I don't have time to say any more right now. I'll be baaack!

Okay ladies, don't fall for Robert's trap. He just wants us to believe he doesn't want us sending him all that love. You know he's eagerly checking the postings...

Trev, We had a drivetrain stolen from underneath our car one time. Was that you? Snicker, snicker? Hubby and friend were working on the car in said friends driveway so they left the drivetrain sitting under the car for the night. Well, not the night. It walked away before morn...

Teresa, Pat the baby all day, cause I got this win....

. Utah wins because we had a surprise guest stop in from Idaho (only about two hours away although another state), who is staying with us tonight. It really is okay, she's very close friend and family. I've known her 25 years and she introduced Doug and I. Doug's cousin :soledance:

Hi Glori and Trysh and guyservants!!!
Robert!! wheres that shock button when you need it?

hi NL, you can have it back when I'm finished with it.
you must live in a rough neighbourhood.

My friends lived in a neighborhood where one would not think the drivetrain or driveshaft would be stolen.

I think I might have found a shock buttom. Hmmm... maybe it's this...

Are we on" Car Talk"???:ylol:
Hello all my friends! Had another busy day. Went to church and said a prayer for all you sinners (Robert) Ha Ha. We gals are wearing our wings on this forum. LOL.
Made a big pot of Steelers chile Robert. You should try it, you'd choose our team. Talk to you all soon.

I liked your shock buttons, but I'm afraid I'll have to disagree with you on this one, Glori. Robert knows where the real shock button is.

enough car talk, I'm sure we can find something far more interesting. fishing maybe ???

Trev, will you teach me to catch a fish in ten minutes because that is all the attention span Ashley has, especially for fishing?

I'll help you Sandy. Get a baby pool and find some fish that haven't been fed yet. Keep them in the baby pool for a while without feeding them. You want to make sure they are good and hungry for fishing with Ashley. Now, go get Ashley, put the pole with the worm already on it into her hand. Drop the line into the pool and wa la! There will be a fish biting in no time at all. Have Ashley pull out the fish and hand it to you. Ashley runs off to do whatever, and you now have dinner in your hands. LOL! :lol2:

:eek:utahere:

Hi Glori!!!
How's your weather down there tonight? It's windy up here. Maybe some rain tonight. We need it badly. Haven't had any in awhile. But, I heard Isaac is going to ruin our holiday weekend. My Brother and Uncle ar having a big picnic. He has a nice built in pool, but, we may not get to use it. What are you doing for the weekend?

Teresa, It's still wet down here. Looks like hubby and his sis might ride together to go see their mom. She's not been doing too well and just got out of the hospital again. Second time in less than two weeks. She's been going downhill since her husband died almost two years ago. It's sad. I think she needs to be in a bereavement support group. She's not used to being alone and is having a lot of anxiety and depression. The meds are messing with her blood pressure and heart. The doc thinks she had a mini stroke.

I was trying to upload a pic to my photo album on this site and it keeps not working. Grrrrrr....

Sorry to hear about your mother in law. Poor girl. It would be so hard losing your mate. I couldn't handle it. My first husband died, but we would've gotten a divorce. He committed suicide. It was hard enough dealing with that even when I wasn't in love with him anymore. She could use a support group for sure. I will say a prayer for her.
You wouldn't believe the trouble we had trying to get my photo on here. My hubby is good at computers and it just wouldn't come up. Finally did. Hope you get it. I'll check it out. Have a great night. Hope you are feeling better.

Glori,
Went to your profile page but didn't see any album yet. I'll check tomorrow.
Have a great night and I'll take the win, I hope!

hi guys, how your day going, NL, i use photo bucket to put pics on here or they wont upload. time i had a win.

Can't get the pics to upload in the photo album I was trying to create. I'll be glad to keep the win. Gotta sleep.
