Some of the plumbing cleared, but not all. Sigh.... I'm currently having a looooooong drink through my port. Got dehydrated again. This is so frustrating. Ya know something, I've noticed that some folks name their stoma's. Maybe I should come up with a name for my airplane that landed on my chest. (Huber needle looks like an airplane). What do you think?

Just got myself a win...

Funny one, I guess it's as good as any, right. Glad you cleared out some plumbing. Said some prayers for you. Love ya!!!

How did your day go Teresa?

Not too bad today Glori. I went to my woman's group this morning and then we all went out to lunch together and laughed and carried on. We have a great group and we all get along like sisters. My hamstring felt alot better today. I pulled it cleaning for my sister yesterday.
My hubby is asleep in his recliner now snoring away! he works hard!!!

Wow! I was on the other forum for a while.

http://www.crohnsforum.com/showthread.php?p=493439#post493439

Never post something in a challenging way. Someone's liable to rise to the occasion. Ha, ha!

Phone kept ringing off the hook today. I never got to get out. Shucks! I wanted to go to the thrift store and locate some nightgowns for my surgery on Oct. 1st. I'm willing to bet I won't want anything around my waist for a while. Hospitals are usually cold so I was going to attempt to locate a few flannel nightgowns and make adjustments to make some of them into a patient gown to use while I'm at the hospital and save the rest for when I return home from the hospital. Perhaps another day....

Your idea about the night gowns should be great. You're right, i froze in there and their blankets are like top sheets! If i ever go back, I'mbringing some warm ones too!!!

I am good naturelover, but injection day is coming up and I am strated to feel my symptoms rising up again so I am hoping for a flare free weekend

I hate injections!

I'll pray that you don't have a huge flare this weekend.

I have to get another ultrasound where the two blood clots were. Depending on how things look, I may have to stay on the Warfarin (blood thinner) Then the doc will recheck in three weeks and decide if I have to go back on the Lovenox shots before my surgery in Oct. 1.

Thanks. I hope so too especailly since this is a holiday weekend. I would like to have a little fun :) I always seem to feel sick a few days before I inject and I hope this will get better in time.

That does not sound like fun either.. What kind of surgery are you going to have? I'll be praying for you too! :)

Surgery: Exploratory, hysterectomy along w/bladder lift. It's time to put Humpty Dumpty back together again. Ha, ha.

The fun lined up so far for the weekend is to install the new kitchen faucet and shock the well. It will take a while to get the chlorine out of the well. You have to run all faucets etc. until you know the bleach is coming out of them. Next you have to let the bleach sit in the pipes for at least 24 hours. Then you begin the process of draining off the bleach from the well. Fun, fun. NOT!

Well.. not too exciting. Work tomorrow, then I have to clean house on Saturday and go out to dinner with friends. Monday is the big injection day, so I have a feeling that I will be sleeping most of that day. So that's about it. Not too exciting.

Glori,
Getting ready to go to bed. Am going over my brother's for a family cookout Sunday. The :wink:final one of this year. My hubby will be out taking pictures for his showing in Oct. at "Ligonier Days" Sat. if it doesn't rain all day. I may go visit some friends from church while he's out. Better than sitting home and being bored. I will be praying for you about your surgery Glori. Doesn't sound very fun. Sleep tight with your adorable kitty!!!

GJ,
Will say a prayer for you too about Monday. What are you having injected?
Humera??? Will be thinking about you!! Sleep well!!

Yeah it is Humira. I am glad that I am past the loading dose, so this time it will only be one.

Actually the more I think about it, I am glad for the long weekend becasue I ahve been on the go for quite a while it will be nice to have some "me" time! :D

Hello GuitarJamie - I have decided it really is just you and Trysha who are normal and sensible on here.

Trysha - I like your suggestion about the tie but maybe a bit plain? Kirsty is my advisor of course and I have something that matches her suggestion.
Dusty - see! see! I told you she was all bad - brings something slightly different of course, but really! Does she really think Trev and I are so sad?
Kirsty - regarding your advice to stop the abuse - well I have no idea what you mean
Teresa - that is a joke about you all being wonderful, etc - isn't it? Sorry you have ducked out of our fight - understandable though.

At least Glori and Sandy understand!

OK Robert---your choice--- won't argue with that---

Trysha, Yes, you deserved a win. Hope you enjoyed your win. It's over now cause it's my turn for another win.

:poo: This is how I feel only nothings coming. I need a plumber to unclog the system!:voodoo:

Thanks for the win Naturelover

I don't get it either Trev---think you had better ask DustyCat since she is the one who mentioned it!

I think we should just ignore Dusty until she goes away and stops bothering us decent folk - see Dusty we have got you on the run!

Think I deserve the win .
Just spent the day and night in ICU complete with IV in each arm and two wounds from aborted attempts to insert needles and to rule out abdominal aneurysm------tests negative
thank goodness.
However ---they decided it was kidney stones because it goes with Crohn's and because of hematuria.Great life if you don't weaken eh?
So now I feel well qualified to take the win---

You sure you were not in the ICU with me Robert? you bear a slight resemblance
to another patient---
I am taking the win now

Trysha, what are they going to do about those? I understand they're terribly painful. Try to get them to pass on their own? Laser? Take care. I've got to go to sleep with my headache, but I will look for your answer in the morning.

Bananas in pajamas are coming down the stairs,
Bananas in pajamas are coming down in pairs,
Bananas in pajamas are chasing teddy bears,
'cos on Tuesdays they all try to catch them unawares!

Dusty - I've got a banana tree in my back yard if you need practice on eating them. I would advise biting and chewing at some point otherwise you will be there all day

Oh man Aura, there's no fun in eating it!

Sheep boy and Robbie...I think you need some instruction on the versatility of the banana.

Dusty.

Oh behave won't you,it's getting embarrassing.I eat bananas every day and you're putting me right off.Been for last minute shop before the hols.but our beloved Volvo has gone sick and has gone to the hospital.Hope to get it back today. My hubby is distraught. He looks after it better than he looks after me,that's for sure.Hols.MAY be postponed............so I'll take the win as compensation

I agree Trysha, hope you feel better today!!!

Yep. How ya doing Teresa?

Hi Sandy!!
I am pretty good today. I just was emailing my poor sister Sheree. She had ulcers on her inner ankles since 1996. They finally healed, but her feet are like twisted from the way she had to walk and she needs surgery. She is in so much pain she can barely walk. I gave her some of my painpill because she can't even walk right now. Please say a prayer for her. She and I are very close as I told you.
How are YOU today?? Good I hope after your big win last night.

Robert, Love the bananas! I laughed so hard I've got tears running down my face.

DustKat, love your banana poem... Are you still in the loo from your banana gulping? Hope everything works out ok. Snicker, snicker.:rof:

My family looks at me like I'm crazy because all of a sudden I will start laughing hysterically.:rof:

Guys and Gals, get a life! On second thought. Don't get a life. I love all the laughs!:rof:

Trysha, do get to feeling better soon. Keep us up to date.:ghug:

Well Sandy, did you sleep off your headache. I do believe you gave it to me last night instead. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr..... and I have to drive to the docs soon...

Teresa, Did you get a good nights sleep? Maybe you dreamed about bananas.

Glori,
I did sleep good other than the 3 trips to the loo as they would call it.
How about you? How are you feeling today?
Bananas are good for you, so let's just leave them alone Dusty!!!:ylol:

Didn't get rid of head ache, need more sleep, I don't feel like being nice today, Ashley starts school Tuesday, will say more when I feel like it. Those suffering, I'm saying prayers for you too, if you don't like prayers, I'm sending white light. That about covers my win. Utes win.

Hello? Is anyone home so I can complain/cry on your shoulders? Or did you know I was coming so you all ran away?

Robert, Love the bananas! I laughed so hard I've got tears running down my face.

DustKat, love your banana poem... Are you still in the loo from your banana gulping? Hope everything works out ok. Snicker, snicker.:rof:
.

Glori, I sent you hugs because I still think Robert and Dusty are naughty boys and girls, but I still like you. I might have to include you in that list, though. And like I said before, we all keep coming back. Must like each other somewhat, or at least like to torment each other.

i am good. Just waiting on my firend to come over. She is spendning the night with me so I might have to clean up a little before she gets here. How are you?

Hi Everybody
Thank you all for the kind support---I am much better today and hoping to put the episode behind me.
The docs are hoping the stone(s) have gone but intend to do follow up.
I am really glad to be out of the ICU and home again.
Sandy they always like it when the stones pass out on their own and hope this is the case.I have strict instructions from the cardiologist to return immediately by ambulance directly to the ICU should the symptoms recur.
I see everyone has been very active in my absence and in fact going bananas!

So now I take the win!

Hey all a big to you all

NL the other day I tried everything to unblock my loo - plunging for 3 hrs, wire hook, warm water, hot water, toilet brush wrapped in a bag to use as a plunger. It was a shitty mess - in the end I had to call my good friends who I had not seen since I got married (5yrs) and say hey can we catch up? Oh yep I am back in Wellington and can you unblock my shitty loo?

So we caught up - in fact we are going out to tea with them again tonight.

Trysha - sorry to hear what you have been going through, take care

Sandy hope your headache goes away. Drink heaps (non alcohol)

GJ, I just had to send you a thanks because I was tired of talking to myself. Win again after me because I don't want to play pity party, I just want to have one. I'm not very good because when we were at our beloved Utes game (which we won 41 to nothing, by the way) I had a seizure in the middle of the full stadium of about 47,000. Ugghh! Then I had another one on the way to the first aid station. My doctor already scolded me, even if it was rightly so, for being a little late on taking my morning dose. (I fell back to sleep in the morning.) I still don't feel very good, but getting better. I'm just tired of having seizures in strange places. There, pity party over. I'm going off line for awhile. Everybody, I want you to send sympathy my way (I do wear my heart on my sleeve), but NO WINS FOR ME THIS TIME! you all give me wins when this happens, but all of you have medical issues also, and you don't get wins just for being sick.

Hey it's ok if we sneak in every now and then  The sushi was great as were the vol o vonts. Now I am going to make a big batch of pumpkin, feta filo wraps to freeze for lunches

Yum, you must be cooking or baking all the time!!!!:thumleft:

Went for a brisk walk with my daughter when I got home. Yaaaaawn. Most people walk their dogs. We walked our cat! LOL! Pod decided to join us. I think we wore him out. He layed down in the middle of the road and didn't want to move. He tried to attack us when we attempted to pick him up to carry him the rest of the way home. It was quite the show. Hilarious! It took both of us to make sure he didn't attack either one of us. Guess his stamina is down. :ylol::ylol::ylol:

It has been over two years since I could walk like I did tonight. It was wonderful. But boy, am I tuckered out. I hope I sleep well tonight. Yaaaawwwwnnn.

I went to the GW Boutique (Goodwill) after my doc appt today. Looking for nightgowns to use in the hospital and at home after the surgery. I don't own any nightgowns. I've already been fore warned that I won't want anything around my waist after surgery for a few weeks.

Glori,
So did you find any nightgowns, you didn't say?
Glad you were able to get out for a walk. You will probably sleep really good.
I am going to bed soon too and hope I sleep well too. My hubby went to sleep at 10. Now that I'm not working as much, I stay up later now. Have a good night and talk to you tomorrow. Teresa:Karl::hang:
PS, Who is Pod???

Oh my yes, I want to pet him!!! We used to have a cat that liked to take walks and opened the doors himself. He lived to be 19 and then disappeared one day. He was the coolest cat ever.

Finally! 1st ltr IV is done. Second hooked up. Had a small amount of Cheerios. My stomach is gassy and burning. Going to bed now. Talk with you later.

Sleep tight! Don't let the bed bugs bite!

One more win for the night. Sandy, so sorry to hear that. I hope that you are ok now. Ill be praying for you. 723, yes pj party for sure! Good night all.

get a life!

What! Do you mean go out and talk to real people? Have relationships with real people? ..................Well I have to say this is a slightly bizarre notion.

Online women are more fun than real women - I mean - no flowers, no gifts, I can switch them off when I have had enough, no nagging (hmmm), I can stay out as late as I like.

No I think I will stay as I am.

Good morning all.Just done a bit of packing for the hols. Not going 'til Monday now as car needs a replacement throttle. It's knocked me off kilter as I'm very efficient and organised and having to kick my heels an extra day is a bummer.Used all my veggies and fruit yesterday for a supurb juice, cleared the fridge of left overs, changed the bed and did the floors. Now I'm at a loose end.I will just have to pester you all.Apparently Volvo owners in USA are getting it done free, manufacturing fault, but we are paying hundreds and my hubby is not happy.Heads will roll.

This has to be the longest goodbye since Frank Sinatra - also how many holidays do you have - I reckon it is about six since March. Rest assured while you are away I will be a staunch advocate for you and pitch in on your behalf whenever required.

actually this is no.8 and hoping for one last one in Oct.weather permitting. And don't worry "the girls"will keep me informed of any uncalled for remarks.:p

Robert, Carol told us right from the start that she wasn't going until the weekend. She obviously was just looking forward to her "hols" and just sharing with us. Also, it is not her fault that her vehicle decided to go on vacation without her.

you feeling ok Sandy? I don't know how you dare leave the house.I'm not saying you shouldn't go out though, just that I would be apprehensive to say the least, not knowing "if and when"You're a STAR............but I'm the winner.Best wishes to Doug,he's been quiet lately.Roberts worried he's been abandoned.

Sandy,
Taking the win since you are finally feeling better. Thought of you all day yesterday. Hope no more of that.
Robert we know you have a sqeeze somewhere.
Carol, you say goodbye as many times as you want! Have a great time!!!
Glori, hope the IV's are done now!:ghug:
Must go make some breakfast now. Have a great day till I talk atcha again!!:hugI know Robert-mush, mush!!!

You and I are keeping this all going today - I think they are getting the message that you need cunning and guile to win the prize - not smash, crash, bash.

If it makes you feel any better, Robert, I like the cunning and guile also, and for that reason I'm not going to fall for that line of "real people." He was just baiting us, Glori. I just feel beaten in so many ways. I had another huge seizure last night, but that is only part of the picture. The other part is that it is hard to keep up with your cunning and guile, but don't count me out yet.
Darn! I was going to ignore Robert today as I know he likes being at the center of attention.
Carol, I told Doug just the other day that I think I'm turning into somewhat of an agoraphobic. He is always trying to get me out of the house as he knows I feel so stuck here, not able to drive or walk far, with everything far away in my little suburb. Sometimes I'm afraid to walk down the stairs in my house, too. But then I think carpe diem. I hope your Volvo gets out of car hospital soon.
GJ, I hope your party was just, well music to your ears. Was it great? I think Teresa should cook you breakfast while she does hers.
Glori, is you IV done? How ya feeling?
Teresa, will you cook for us too? Doug is out mowing the lawn and Ashley is trying to find ways to earn extra money for a doll she wants to buy. She is 21. ~ sigh ~
Like I said, I feel beaten in so many ways. But I am going to win here.

As banana is rich in natural sugars, it gives your body instant energy boost. This is why athletes love to snack on banana before, during or after their workout sessions. But that isn’t all. Bananas also help to improve your mood! Bananas also have norepinephrine, serotonin and tryptophan – all hormones that prevent against depression and promote a general feeling of well being. Along with that, the Vitamin B content in bananas regulates mood swings and irritability. So the next time you are cranky, don’t resort to stuffing your mouth with chocolates. Resort to the healthy banana and find instant relief!

Hello all you crazies!!! Sandy, sorry you again have to put up with abuse!
Hope you are feeling better. Why do we keep coming back for it? I guess deep down inside we love it!!
Robert, not talking to you either!:ysmile:

Teresa, actually, even though the seizure was worse last night and my BP was 170ish over 117 which is huge headache territory for me, I woke up feeling better then I had in a few days. I'm really fine today, although a little weak. I was very (pleasantly) surprised. I hope everyone has a good day.

Ashley just asked what was for lunch, as it is lunch time, but nobody had had breakfast yet.

I am soo glad Sandy! You are in good hands!!! Hope you have a great day too.

Glori, are you getting rain down there from hurricane Isaac? It just thundered here and is all cloudy. I think I'm on the wrong thread for weather though. It's supposedto rain all weekend.

I'm back Teresa, if you are still there. I just had to eat my bowl of cereal since you are so far away. What are you doing now?

Just answering some emails. Tomorrow is the big family picnic at my brother's house. Have to make potato salad and mac salad too. But, my son and new girlfriend are supposed to come. His first family event since he got clean !!!
I am very happy about that!!!
I am getting off now Sandy, it is thundering and very ominous here. Remnants of Isaac I'm afraid, I'll check in later on. Bless you!

Be safe, Teresa. I've to go too. Storms really scare me, and i can't imagine even being at the remnants of a hurricane .
I think I'll make potato salad for tomorrow also. Good luck with son and girlfriend. I like my potato salad. I learned to cook (the little i did) with four sisters because my mom didn't cook by the time I came around. I think she was just worn out. For Trekky fans, I like to joke that I was Seven of Nine, for those who don't know what I'm taking about, I was one of the seven middle children. I liked coming from a big family, siblings were really close. Some of us are now, and some of us aren't speaking. I love all my brothers and sisters, no matter how crazy we all are now.
Good luck with your family dinner.

:Karl:

Thanx Sandy, you be safe too. Are you also going away? I love potato salad. But, I'm not supposed to eat it on the scd diet, but I am cheatint big time tomorrow. You have to once in awhile. Have a great time tomorrow too. I will be in touch tomorrow night. OR Monday! We are to get rain for the next 6 days from that Isaac. Dang him anyway! I bet his middle name is ROBERT!! LOL!!!

After a busy day and a little Crohn's scare, kicking back with a tasty snack and watching Sherlock Holmes! That's a win in my book!

hope you are all having "lovely days"with your families and friends, and that you are feeling good and the sun is shining down on you all.I'm winning 'cos there's nobody on.

I think everyone really has gone out to get a life - leaving me to win.

There are Winners and Losers (that would be you then).

You are only partially correct, Robert. I have gone out to get a life. Every once in a while, however, I will be back to reclaim my prize. I win, I win, I win!
