Darling Robert, that is the first thing I do each morning, before I write a good morning greeting :ylol2: I've already seen anything you are trying to hide!!

I've noticed that every time it gets too hot in the kitchen for Robert, he disappears.

I'm getting my complex again, so must go. I'll be back after awhile to win. Hi Cheryl! Hi Trysha!

Hi Sandy, I just got my breafast ready. No recordings today I need to tidy the house as ma and pa are coming over for lunch

morning guys, we are off travelling for a month, don't know if we will get internet.
if i dont get on here to check on you, just behave yourselves.

We will be thinking about you! Hope all goes well at the eye Dr. YOU be good!!:)

Just checking in with my buds before bed. I'm sooo tired today!
I will talk to you all tomorrow after I am done cleaning at my sisters.
Thanx for the Email Sandy, I'll answer that tomorrow too:Karl:

IT went well with ma and pa - they took me for a walk along the beach. At least I did race after seagulls or chase a stick. It was a good bit of exercise for me. But I am tired now:ybiggrin:

Kirsty,
I'm glad you had a nice time with Mum and Dad. Did you cook or bake for them?:thumright:

I'm glad you had a good time also, Kirsty. I sure wish I lived closer to a beach. The "Great Salt Lake" isn't so great for a beach. It doesn't have the surf, or much beach space, or accessibility, and is so alkaline that it stinks, and the only thing that lives in it is brine shrimp.

It does have plenty of seagulls, though. Do ya wanna trade beaches? Do ya? Do ya?

Sleep well my friend, Teresa, and all in the US and Canada. Good whatever it is elsewhere. :Karl: here's a flower for you Robert.:rosette1:

Hi, I still had the dutch windmill biscuits that I had made on the weekend.

Sandy luv, I think I'll keep this beach. I can see the sea from the sofa, I am soooo lucky.

The rain has just started and both cats are inside. I had to take an avo nap today:biggrin:

Dropping in for a win and a brief visit.

I miss you guys!

It hurts my eyes to be on the computer. I have the brightness as far down as it will go, polarized reading glasses with my sun shades on and I still have to close my eyes to type because the light hurts.

Kirst, what are windmill biscuts?

Welcome back Glori! I hope you can stay well enough to check in often.

Kirsty, all I can see out my front window is a bunch of older suburban houses, like ours. And the road. We live at the "T" of an intersection. You come down one road, and you end up right in our driveway. The houses are boring, but the neighbors are great (except our next door neighbor who likes to expose himself.)

I found a couple recipes on the net. I'm going to try them tomorrow, if I have the energy. I'll tell you how it goes.

Well the sun was out for a few hours this morn but it's clouding over again so looks like more rain on the way. We've had the most rain in 48hrs than at any time in the last 30yrs,if you know what I mean.Just done a tidy up and prepared the meal for this afternoon. It's Fritatta if you want to know.Well for hubby it is.Don't know what I'm having................Have a safe trip Kev,you lucky traveller you.

I love fritattas. I haven't made those in years. I think I've been stuck on the same two dishes for ages. I'll have to add that to my easy meal list, because they aren't hard and that is the kind I like. See Carol,, I do care.

My hubby is very easy to please and I think I mentioned that we don't eat the same stuff.I tried for years to feed him the right way,but he wasn't brought up to eat healthy so it would cause arguments. He loves egg dishes and fry ups and curries and cake and stuff and they're all easy so I'm not going to argue. His B.P and cholesterol are all better than mine, and he's not over weight so why worry.......Robert will think he's back on the cookery forum.

Same and same. If women talk about cooking, well, he can change the channel - er - subject. I'm done talking cookery.

That's our Robert! In that light, I have to go get ready for the foster agency to come, then a massage! Awwww!

Good thanks - started work early now back from gym and ready to cause trouble!

There's only me here now Sandys away for a rub down and I'm not in the mood for a fight. This laptop has been very sluggish the last few days.Do you think this forum could be hammering the battery? It's not 3yr old yet but as soon as I log on I need to plug in even when fully charged.New to this computor lark so don't know much about the technicalities etc.:sign0085:

Well I never use my laptop unless it is 'plugged in' - my battery lasts probably less than 10 minutes (not that I have tested that theory). Just plug it in and hang the expense.

By the way I have decided to improve my general behaviour on 'Last One Wins' in the hope of attracting new people - i.e. not scaring people off. But watch out elsewhere!!!

Carol, I find that laptops have their best life in the first year, after that, they go downhill quickly, which I never found with our desktop computer at home. It lasted until little man had downloaded so many games that it could no longer take it, lol!
Robert, be a dear and make me some juice too?

I'm sure the chap in the shop said about 2yrs.will keep it going as long as I can.Going off soon as it's cake o' clock.Keep Well.

I know but I can't be good at everything.Cake making is a lot of effort for too little gain. When you bake a cake you want people to admire the look and smell of it,then you put it in a tin and have a slice as a treat. My husband would eat it in one sitting while the dishes were still on the drainer.

Don't forget to share with me if they are good! I haven't eaten a thing all day, but am afraid to. What is a good thing to eat that won't set me going again??? A banana?:sign0085:

you see what he's brought us to?we're insulting a woman who hasn't done us any harm..........Poor lass has a struggle in life as it is.

Morning all, how are we going? Just waking up and getting plans together for the day

So glad you came back Glori, how are you feeling? How did it happen?

Hello everyone! Teresa, rice is supposed to be good for hurting tummies also. Hi ladies and gents. Off to bed. Doug is snoring away in the recliner. Have to wake him up to go to bed. That seems backwards.

why don't you all give in and let the champ take the win? there are lots of other places you can be...............No.I didn't mean it really, the prize is probably rubbish anyway. Wecome to the newbies,we need fresh meat.

Yah! Fresh meat! Yaaaaa hooo!

Shove over Doug. I'm in need of a win. Elbowing my way in of course. Hope my boney elbows don't bruise you. Ha, ha!:lol2:

:ylol: Don't take it personally, I just gotta have a win.

Well Glori I know you have been away for a while and I should stand aside and let you enjoy a win........................should..............................here's putting you back in your place

So glad you came back Glori, how are you feeling? How did it happen?

I was standing at a vendors site looking down at the items for sale when all of a sudden one side of the 200-300 pound awning came down on me. The awning legs were not anchored down in any way.:ymad: Several people, including hubby, tried to catch the awning, but they weren't fast enough to get it before it hit me in the head. I haven't felt good since. The last few weeks have been a blur. I don't remember much. It took me nearly a week to wake up after the accident. The neurologist said it is a pretty significant closed brain injury/traumatic brain injury. I.e. significant concussion. He suspects it will take longer than a few weeks to heal. Could be six months. Could be more. He said I have a good chance for an "almost full recovery". Personally I'd rather have a full, 100% recovery. Docs are keeping a close eye on me right now. I suspect that will continue throughout the healing process.

So in light of how crummy I feel, I'm taking another win today.

Shove over Robert! My damaged brain makes me irratible, moody and everything else in between.

And yes, you should let me have the win. It would be the gentlmanly thing to do.

I'm taking the win back. So suck it up! (Lovingly said, of course.)

So just like all the other ladies on here then?

Robert, Open mouth, insert foot. You're good at that. Can't wait for the ladies to read your post.

I think I need Kirsty to make me some breakfast this morn. I bet she could make a wonderful breakfast pleasing to the unhappy, nauseous, tummy.

So just like all the other ladies on here then?

I thought you were going to be nice on this forum? Glori, I'm just having oatmeal because I have to go to a therapist's appointment, but that is a comforting breakfast and you can have some oatmeal with me.

'Sides that, Robbie, we traumatic brain damaged girls have to stick together. Now I'm off to my breakfast and to have my neighbor drive me to my appointment.

Let's just thank the good Lord that you are still here and that youWILL recover completely...The power of the tongue!:rosette1::applause::applause::applause:

Hi, I am still feeling the tummy but not quite as bad as yesterday.
My favorite sister is coming to see me today and wants to order Chinese.
I love sesame chicken with NO hot peppers. Dare I???? Or should I not?:sign0085:

Mmmm, I love pepper steak, crab rangoon and of course, hot and sour soup! If you do, be sure and tell them NO MSG!!!

OK but if the sauce is already prepared ahead of time, it's going to probably be in there. I'll call and ask ahead of time. I am not a pepper fan, it's almost like I'm allergic to hot peppers. They never agreed with me and always gave me intestinal problems.

Well, with pepper steak, it's only green peppers, bell peppers, which I love and they tend to agree with me more. And true, if I eat from the already prepared buffet at ours, it's already in there, but if I order a dinner, I tell them to leave it out. Apparently it is something that they sprinkle on, from what I gather. I only found that out about a year ago.

Thanks for telling me, I did not know that.Bell Peppers are ok when I'm not having a flare, but the rest of the time~ not so good. All I had was tea and my stomach hurts. I had a stomach flu about 2 weeks ago and it felt just like this. Do you think it is all from crohn's or maybe I have a stomach flu? I never know what to think anymore. I did 6 months though with a stomachache everyday. That's when I finally went to a GI and they did colonoscopy and found the crohn's I'd probably had for yrs.

My darling Les has brought in a BIG bag of windfall Apples, bless him (not)So I have to sort through and clean them and make apple pies,he loves apple pies the toe-rag.Will juice what I can for myself. ........Good to hear from you Glori, chin up,but you can't have the win.

Did you ever make apple crisp? It tastes almost like apple pie, but is so much easier. You just cut up the sliced apples into a cake pan and make a topping from 1 stick of softened butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, half cup white sugar 1 tsp.salt and 1cup flour. Crumble all together adding just enough water to blend it. Maybe 1/4 cup. Then sprinkle over apples. Drizzle another 1/4 of water all over topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. YUMMY!!!!:thumleft:

Can I just point out - you refused to allow a Fishing Forum on here - but seemingly a Cookery Forum is fine!!!

Just trying to make Carol's life a little easier!!! Can't you see that. All you master- baiters can start your own fishing forum with your girl, what's her name!":ylol:
