Ya what Robert said!! I am lucky to sleep between 2-4 hours a night. I find that if i double up on my pain pill any anxiolytic at night, then hit bed round 1/2 i can sleep till 4 or 5 at the latest. This is good cause it puts me up about the time i need to start getting my kiddos moving for school. If i sleep any earlier like 9 or 10, I'm up by 3 with no rest in sight no matter how fatigued i am.

I got to do my night meds and I am hoping that Wolf will come back home for the night. My nose is still a tap and I still have fever - bugger it - been doing panadol and cold packs etc.

Robert, I didnt know you were good at fishing...I just see you threw the bait out :ylol:

Angel, I read your post. All I know is that life is hard at times and if you love people with all your heart then there will be sorrow as well. But just remember good times and great memories. Things will not always be as they are now. Go minute by minute, hour by hour and day by day if you need to. Try not overthink and find peace by living in the moment that you find yourself in. For example, what you can see now? What can you hear? What can you feel? When you do this you use the observing part of your mind and you stop overthinking.

Thanks for being there - you are great caring people and Me - I just going through a blip:thumleft:

I just wrote a nice note to Angel (not as nice as yours, Kirsty, you have a way with words), and fish eggs and little peaches (my Mom's version of swearing), my phone ate my message. I win since I'm up at almost 2 am.

Kirsty, too much to think about today. But you win for keeping your good attitude through thick and thin.

Thanks Sandy, I think the drugs help me out a bit as do all you lot on here. You all keep me happy and in good spirits :thumleft:

Robert you are too far away to make a dent in to my good spirits :ylol: I have my Woodford Reserve; French Brandy; Vodka; Gin - need I say more...:ylol:

Morning all

Robert - didnt work, tried it, been there and got the tshirt - now having a cuppa tea.

Angel how are you? Good you got 4.5 hrs

Hawkeye - I dont envy you having to clean a basement - so good luck and

thanks everyone for the win

How are you feeling today Kirsty? I think you coughed to hard and sent it our way. My daughter is sick in bed with the same lot!!!!:ylol2:

It's okay Teresa - he forgets that I am a very wise person :ycool: even at this hour of the morning.

My face aches, I am going to take panadol and hope the swelling goes down in my sinuses.

Is there daylight saving in the States? The clocks are going back an hour here soon

Yes and we hate it. One year Pres. Reagan decided to not do it to save energy and we loved it. Why they didn't stick with it, i don't know. Our's isn't just yet though. I think it is in Nov. Anyone out there know???

I hate the dark mornings more. What a waste of daylight.I'd rather get the jobs done AM,then the rest of the day Faff about.I'm going into hibernation mode already. But I'll take the win before I go.

I get like that too, like I don't even go anywhere when it's frigid outside. But, i still prefer it to the super hot weather in summer.

Here is a random thought - one of the things I like reading about is the universe, stars and all that. I have read something similar to this before, but it is interesting to compare the size of the earth to the largest star discover (so far).

The Sun is about 108 times larger than the Earth. If you imagine the Sun being the size of this full stop . The largest star (VY Canis Majoris) would be the size of an 18inch pizza!!

Gulp!

I take to freezing dampened towels in the freezer when I'm cleaning for people and wrap them around my neck till they thaw out. Really helps out and keeps me from being totally miserable!

:kiss:Sleep tight Carol!!!!! The post before was about the cold wet towel and feet in water, not you going off to bed!!!!!!:confused2:

Nah, its my head cold and swollen face. I cant take cold meds due to my blood pressure. So I have to try and get through it and hope it doesnt go to my chest. Also Wolf didnt come in last night so I am worried about him.

Is wolf a dog? I will say a prayer, or is it the kitty?:(

Me too, i slept till almost 10. A bad dream woke me up and then realized it was noise from a huge bulldozer right behind our backyard. Someone digging it up for some reason. This is the noisiest little neighborhood. If it werent for the dogs (no offense I love them, but they bark alot here) and loud cars and people always working on something, it would be perfect!!!

It might scare Kirsty. It's about a cat someone is trying to get rid of, "but the cat came back, the very next day. Thought he was a goner, but he just wouldn't stayyy a-way, no, just wouldn't stay away." (oh, sorry Kirsty, just trying to show the resilience of cats.)

Wolf is my cat, we thought he looked like Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) - but he also wolfs his food down too. He has only done it once before since we moved here.

We had a little cat that would disappear for 6 months and come back and freak us right out!!!!:eek2:

Not saying Wolf will, this cat did it a few times. Most cats are just out mating when they disappear for a few days. We had male cats that did that alot. But always came back, so don't worry!!!

How many of you have ever made your other phone (in this case I was on the home phone) and made your other phone ring so you could get off a call you didn't want to keep talking on? (I know, poor grammar)

That's what I usually do, but with this person (my mom:eek2:) I never know if it's important or she is just being manipulative and needy.:eek2:

Honor thy Father and thy Mother that thy days may be long upon the earth...
You can honor her and yet still not talk to her all the time. If people keep hurting you and do it deliberately, it is ok to avoid them.

(she has borderline personality disorder with a touch of narcissistical personality disorder thrown in for good measure. Now you know why I'm weird.)

I know, Carol was just going to bed, and God knows where Robert went????:ylol2:

Watching us, on Robert.

I still feel sorry for her, nobody else will look after her around here, and she is getting old. Also, last time I ignored her I found out my niece (and her baby) almost died in childbirth. They had to restart her heart a couple times. (she has had a pacemaker since she was one, and is now in her thirties.)

This will still be here when you come back from your laundry, in the meantime, I'll take my phone down and start my own laundry.

And that is why I'm not going to live to be old:ybatty::lol::tongue::eek2:

Angel, speaking of parents with personality disorders, I haven't forgotten you. NO, ANGEL IS NOT THE ONE WITH THE PERSONALITY DISORDER.

I also want to make it clear that when I "send my support" anyone's direction, I am not agreeing with what they say, necessarily, I am just hugging them, sometimes out of pity. (i.e. Robert)

My last load is now in the dryer.Started last night coz Mike neede them for work. I should do a load of his workpants too. We'll see. I vacuumed down there earlier. So many cobwebs!!!
Yeah it's hard to ignore your own Mom, my sister is narcissitic and we all know it. Everything is about poor her and how hard her life is all the time. Everyone just ignores her and she gets so mad because we all avoid her. But she doesn't see how rude she is and says whatever just pops in her head. She is angry all the time and it's right beneath the surface and you say one thing and she goes off!:ybatty:

My turn to need to leave for awhile. I didn't start my laundry (played suduko instead), need to make a grocery list, we're just about out of toilet paper, I need a shower, need to clean my countertops off, empty my basement, and look in the ads for furniture that would match your lighthouse photo. I'm afraid the whole house will have to go.

Ok Sandy~ I'll let you slide on that answer!!:hug:

Welcome back Angel! Were you sleeping? I sent you a message on your profile page.
