I'm now camped in the bedroom with two cats. Packers are working their way around the house - it is becoming full of boxes...

Hi ladies. I think Trev is getting paranoid, don't you? Or maybe he is scared for good reason. And Aura, make sure they don't pack up the cats. I wish I could have cats, but I had to give mine away when I developed asthma. also, I just packed a WIN into this forum.

Cat's wont be packed - Wolf is asleep next to me and I'd like Teesha to get her face out of the food bowl - she is like a block of concrete to lift.

A lunch time win!!

I'm glad cats won't be packed. And Doug just told me to leave him alone when I knew he was posting. I think I will leave him alone tonight. How are you ladies, besides watching cats eat while your world moves around you? I once had a 15 pound cat. Also a brick.

Good luck with the move Aura, hope it goes smoother than it sounds!

OH, by the way, I win

hey Kirsty, i see you didnt let them pack your computor. have fun in Wellywood.
winning.

You are all welcome!! I am still here and they havent packed the modem yet. When I go quiet you know I have gone, and it will be Sunday before I get back on line if it all goes smoothly. Cats are asleep again and I am still on the bed editing an essay with the sound of tape screaming off the roll and two guys singing to different radio stations.

I win

tell that to my panicky heart rate. I am quite an introvert person - and this does get to me ever so slightly - i like my peace and quiet

I'm still here - soon I think they will make their way in to the bedroom and I will be on the sofa. I dont think that is packed yet. I must remember to go and pick up hubby from work later, until then - another win for down under

And I win again. House is mostly packed. Sitting in bed now with laptop at 6:22 pm. Still got the internet until tomorrow - they must know I like to chatter and to win for that matter!!

:cat:Hey, Kirsty, it looks like everyone else got lost. Just wanted to say g'night, and be safe. Try to get one last win in before we take over and win for ... well ... ourselves.

Not sure who is up but in CA it is 1:34 am. Have no idea why I'm up? Thought I would check in.

Denise

I think I got a mouse in the ceiling...Wolf looked up and looked interested as we both heard the pitter patter of scurring feet above us, and then, he went back to sleep. So for now I win

Aura - are you taking the mice with you?

I really hope not Robert! They can all stay here! I have had enough of them of late.

:us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag:Silly me. I just tried to respond to Denise's last comment and didn't notice a whole new page started. By the way, Aura, you should get my old dog out.there. He was a lot better mouser than any cat we had.

And I still got internet - arent the packers good!! Leaving it till the last minute before they pack the modem. I think I am unsettled with the shift and that is why I am awake. Or the cats are unsettled as Wolf has to stay inside now - just in case he goes for a 2 day hike in the bush - which he does. So he is wide awake and jumping throughout the house as he cant go on his night time foray in to the wilds.

He's watching a bit of tennis on tv...oopps nope...hes gone to chase Teesha throughout the house. They have only woken up hubby once - when Wolf chased Teesha on to the bed and started wrestling with her on top of hubby.

Yes, I have shut the door to the bedroom now...

now he is biting the packaging around the dinning chairs...

Aura, cool furry kids playing onto of hubby. That's got to be a Kodak moment....paws in the face!!! LOL My Bailey LOVES my hubby. She goes nuts when he gets home from work.

wishing you a safe move and I hope everything goes as planned for you my friend. you deserve it!! :)

Aura, you're still here! Physically at least. And your modem. I'm glad you could get online again. I liked the visual of your cats. Take care if I don't "see" you again for a few days.
And I win because I'm waiting at the GI's office for my appointment, when I'm just the wife of an IBD er.

My dog, Jessi, woke us up Sunday morning by jumping onto the bed, all 4 paws landing on my stomach, then over me to lick hubs in the face....gotta love them!

Been up since 6:00. What is it with getting older? I never sleep anymore. Hello all. Aurora sounds like my house in the middle of the night except I only have 1 crazy cat.Robert what is Diamond Jubile?

I completely love animals. But my doggie would get smacked by a pillow if that happened to my hubby. :pillowfight:

Well, I felt a bit slighted, all I got was 4 paws in my abdomen, lol! She loves him best, lol! She will only wait just so long till she awakens him, it's pretty funny.

That it is! Yesterday, just for fun, while on her chain she decided to roll in something wet that smelled dead. She had to stay on her chain from morning until my lunch hour, at which point I changed my clothes and my daughter and I took the garden hose and shampoo to her. Quite the endeavor, bathing a dog on a long chain, lol! She was NOT coming into the house smelling like she did!

.Robert what is Diamond Jubile?

Hello Denise,

This is Diamond Jubilee weekend coming up - Public Holidays on Monday & Tuesday to celebrate sixty years of the Queen being, well...the Queen. It will all be great fun with the ceremonial events, street parties, etc. Four day weekend - bring it on!

Wish the banks in America closed for it as well! My 3 day weekend didn't seem to replenish me like it should have, lol!

Hmmm well if we have two Bank Holidays - seems only fair you should join in. Maybe you could find some British blood from way back and demand the time off - worth a try!

Just thought I'd mention my dog Alfie.been to vets today for second biopsy, second blood tests, first chest X-ray.was told originally it was Lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes)but nothings come back as conclusive so far.Have to wait up to ten days for results. This has been going on since may 1st and has cost over £800 so far.But he's worth it. So I'm taking the win 'cos I'm really, really stressed.thankyou all from the winner.

I have British blood and it is not way back. But ever day is a holiday in my mind. I have a plaque hanging over my desk.that says "I live.in my own little.world, but that's okay, they know me here.."

I missed a couple of posts again. I'm sorry about Alfie also. They drive us nuts, but we can't live without our animal friends.

:lol2::lol2:

we're getting to know you here too Sandy.......

Scottsma--- sorry to hear about Alfie and hope he will recover soon.
I will let you win----for a few hours today.
Hugs
Trysha

:heart:Tamala, very soon it will all be over and you will be on the recovery side of things. Not the same kind of dance, and a lot less painful. I saw it in Doug's eyes. Hang in there. It will get less and less a time goes on.

Sandy - you're a Brit! I just knew it.

Yes, Robert, I have British blood, (from my mother's side) and most of it comes from royalty lines, so you better bow. That is about 40% of my blood lines. Over 50% is full Danish, as both of my grandparents on my Dad's side immigrated directly from Denmark. Okay, you can stop bowing, as that makes me a "great Dane."

Is that better than an English Setter?

Okay, you win for a few hours (unless someone else steps in). I've got to get some shut eye. Hope it's not too lonely out there . . . Zzzzzz

I was just thinking,we'd be in some kind of trouble if we were all on (in)? the same time zone wouldn't we? But as G.M.T. is the REAL time I win,as always. The rest of the world can pretend all it likes.

And Robert, remember you only win if you post last. I woke up just to get my daughter off to school, and in case the rest of you forget to post anymore, but I'm going back for more zzzzs. If any of you do post again, I will just have to wake up for what I'm sure will be the final post.

Nah - I have taken it easy on all of you so far - when I put my mind to this game there will only be one winner - you will probably all stand back and applaud and say 'You know what, he was a right winner'
