It's crazy today, lol! Just had a guy bring in a printer paper box full of loose coin to run thru our machine, and it was disgustingly filthy, I wanted to punch him, lmao!

When I worked for some attorneys, one of them represented a mortgage company and dealt with foreclosure issues. To pay off a mortgage debt, one person brought over $3,000 --- in pennies. And we didn't have a money counting machine. I had to help count.

Now my dog keeps going from the door, like she wants out, then when I open the door, she slinks away like "please mom, don't make me go." Then she jumps up on me and won't stop licking my face. All to start the process over again. Dead doggy.

Also, I just had the foster agency here for two hours. I really deserve the win.

In cool taranaki by the sea..... where the temps 6 C ..........I see a win for me in the taking..thanks....:sheep:

I think I'll sneak in a win while it's being so quiet and doggy is still alive. It's a nice new day and I get to spend it playing mommy with Ashley.

A taxi passenger tapped the driver on the shoulder to ask him a question. The driver screamed, lost control of the car, nearly hit a bus, went up on the footpath, and stopped inches from a shop window.

For a second everything went quiet in the cab, then the driver said, "Look mate, don't ever do that again. You scared the daylights out of me!" The passenger apologised and said, "I didn't realise that a little tap would scare you so much. "The driver replied, "Sorry, it's not really your fault. Today is my first day as a cab driver. I've been driving a funeral van for the last 25 years."

That was funny Robert.

I win, Arthur (itis) has come back, I got hotty on my back to free my back up before I go and get my bloods done.

Friday 13th for you Kirsty - what could possibly go wrong !

Looking forward to the weekend - going to Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk and Leigh-on-Sea in Essex, where I grew up. Throw in some decent weather, wine, a cigar and it all sounds perfect.

Sounds fun for you Robert - I forgot to mention that after bloods I am heading in to Wtgn for morning tea - I will be careful going down stairs and up them to for that matter.

Hmmm I am guessing you have Earl Grey from a china teapot and a huge slab of cake (well maybe not huge).

I win just cause. Take care of yourselves everyone. Doggy wants out, she just wants me to turn down the heat. (I would LIKE to.)

I just turned down the heat and I'm freezing----have to switch the A/C off now

and ready to take the win! (while everyone is sleeping!)

I'm not sleeping. Just a slow day here on the forum (but I think I'm getting another blankety blank migraine. How are you?

:frown: ~ sigh ~
Slept off the worst part of smallish (comparatively) migraine. Go to bed Kirsty so I can win.

Helloooooooooooo the World.I'm BACK.Good holiday but wet, wet, wet,I've got trench foot.AND I've got toothache.Came back early so I could get an emergency app. before the weekend.Probably be an extraction as had trouble before. So if that doesn't deserve a win I don't know what does.win,win,winnnnnnnnnnnn.

Wallath, your little "win" just didn't pack enough punch. You didn't put in your jump roping sheep.
Okay, Scottsma wins for today. But only today. Then all is fair in love and war ....

Thanks Sandy, just back from dentists minus a tooth, but thats ok,just glad I've still got some to pull.£48 !!!!!!!!!!! for one tooth. Can you believe it ? Really hungry as well.Should of had a good feed before I went but was in agony.Might have some porridge and honey. Thanks for the win.I owe you one.

They had to charge you that much - you screamed so loudly you scared all their other customers away.

Welcome back Carol - been quiet here but maybe that's because you are so noisy?

Nice to be back,if only to dry out.And I don't know where you get the idea that I'm loud Robert.Quite the opposite actually.I think it's you lot bringing out hitherto hidden traits in me.Anyhow,Sandy says I can win today 'cos I'm not well in the mouth department.

Hi all - ouch re the toothache and having it pulled Scottsma. Wallath - what do you call that 'win' so not your usual self. Robert as dry and as cheeky as usual. Sandy, morning hun, how you feeling? I let you have the win last night

I didn't see you "let" me win Kirsty. You just went to bed. Did feel bad for Arthur visiting, especially in the back. You just went to sleep, like I'm going to do in a couple minutes. Migraine hanging on even after visit to neuro. Not a lot she can do except what I already do. How come is it I can relate to all your ailments in this forum except an actual IBD? If I were a horse somebody would have put me out of my misery a long time ago. Glad I'm not a horse. Okay, somebody shoot me. But I wish no more ailment on any of you, peace, prosperity, and long lives.

You sleep well Sandy, and I will look after the wins here while you get rid of the migrane

my my!!! ....:..just because I whispered to all that I was here........its nice to know you care folks...just a bit tired at present....just a passing phase......so a win on a rather wet and misty day...I claim a win!!!!!!!!:...............:sheep:

We have a wet day here too - the fire is roaring, my back aches - and now just settling in to cruise for the rest of the day :thumright:

Sorry about your migraine Sandy and hope you are feeling better.
Must be catching----I had one today---so an early bedtime for me.
Scotsma---sorry to hear of your bad tooth and the bad bill that went with it--hope its getting better quickly.
Robert you are not very sympathetic-maybe you were brought up a tough guy.
Now its my turn for the big win------------

Okay, I'm still alive and feeling much better. But Carol still gets the win, until midnight, Utah time. About three hours.

we have just traveled thru the forgotten hiway, should be renamed, the forgotten goat track. had lunch at Jerusalem. time for a win.

When I was a kid people used to cover me in chocolate and cream and put a cherry on my head. Yeah, life was tough in the gateau.

'Man lost in Utah desert for weeks was answering desert’s call' - Sandy you kept that quiet

I'm not surprised people used to try to cover you up Robert. I also admit that people are lacking in culinary skills here in Utah. Our claim to fame is green Jello (gelatin) with shredded carrot in it. (don't ask.)

I might also remind you that the poor man lost in the Utah desert, not dessert, for several weeks was autistic.

Was that you Robert? Looking for John Wayne sets?

Between this, Kirsty's baking exploits, and my having to look up the word " gateau (Utah is boring when it comes to cooking,) I just might have to start.cooking again. I did have some delicious strawberry crepes today, which I know how to make, but it's time to broaden my horizons.
Also my siblings did try to put me in the clothes dryer on the tumble setting, no heat, and I thought it was such fun everybody wanted a turn after that.

We had a good ol' time.

Oh , I win, and big time.

everyones very cheery today.Glad you came off that SAD forum Sandy.Mouths fine, thanks.I've had root canal work two or three times and it was ok.I'm quite a toughie where pain is concerned as long as it's not chronic.Don't fancy migraine much at all.Anyhow, while I'm here I'll just the WIN for now.Thankyou all.

Very hot and sunny here in Ontario.
Just dropping in to say "HI Everyone" and also to slide away with the win

rolling on in, for a win - I know I should still be in bed asleep - just wanted to get up and put a log on the fire - make sure house stays warm for another wet day is here

Too early for you to attempt a win - this is still UK time to be in control.

Fish & chips tonight and a bottle of wine - how classy is that ?????

 A win to the kiwi at the bottom of the world...............on a wet and miserable day...........:sheep: ...but hey!.... its winter...and the weather is the weather whatever the weather is......:yoshijumpjoy:..take care everyone..........

Whether the weather is cold,
Whether the weather is hot,
We'll weather the weather,
Whatever the weather
Whether we like it or not

Robert---is the fish and chips wrapped in newspaper----and do you eat it like that?

my win now

Sorry Kiwi, I complain when you don't put in your signatory jump-roping sheep, so I thought I better put something.

And, by the way, the US is hot, hot, hot!

83F. Stuck in the ER at the hospital so I have no idea what the skies are like outside right now. Sandy had 2 grand mal seizures this morning and would not come out of the post dictal state as usual this morning.

Is everything okay now?

Yes she is back to normal. CT scan showed nothing there.. All exams normal. She came around to being aware.

Whatever "normal" is. CT scan (in addition to making sure I had no new strokes, etc.) was to make sure I didn't fracture bone as Ashley was trying to hold me up when Doug checking me in. I guess I fell to floor with loud crack sound on head to tile floor. Nothing in there, nothing to crack. I lost my marbles a long time ago. Ashley is back to making all her ailments worse because she has to compete. Today she lost all feeling in her left leg. I'm going to bed with headache. All back to normal. I found my new signatory emoticon.

:yfaint: :yfaint:

P.S. We just paid over $2,200 US for part of my meds, which is almost 1,800 in euros. Ouch! No wonder we are always broke! Yikes!

Gosh, I'm not here for a day or two and see what happens  ...Sandy, are you okish? So glad that you have posted here again :thumleft:

:yfaint:See, Kirsty, I missed you so much I had to make a scene. Head hurts like a son of a gun, but I am okay. Been sleeping all day, and having the weirdest dreams. I think I had one marble left and it got knocked loose in there. It's been rattling around all day.

Doug, did you remove your original post about my seizures so I wouldn't find out that you told on me? I have friends here. They tell me everything! (As long as it is not too far over my head to understand.)

I think I will watch one TV show then go settle my rattle in my head back down. Nighty night all! Everybody keep their trench mouths (he he) and root feet down to a dull roar. OMG! You should have heard the lady in the bed next to mine! She fell about a foot from her Ottoman to the floor and you would have thought she broke every bone in her body!

:yfaint: :yfaint: :yfaint:

I felt like giving her an obstructed bowel so she would have a reason to complain. Sandy says I never complained nearly like she did.

True, that's why you almost died.

(added later)

Doug's surgeon did say Doug was one tough person and came close to if not should have died. However, he did try to get the attention he needed before, just had stupid doctors. I have heard Doug moan and groan, and also cries of childbirth, natural and otherwise, and it came nothing close to this lady's wails. But she wouldn't let the nurses cut off her pants to get to her knee. Can you guess what she wanted?

arrived home to the worst rain and cold weather, should have stayed away. time for a win.

Hi Sandy
Good to hear you are OK even if a little war wounded.Keep up the good progress.
Quite a shock to hear you were in the hospital.
Poor Doug---a shock for him too!
Feel better soon both of you
Hugs
Trysha

Doug told me he and Ashley both had a good meltdown while I was in the CT. I didn't know to have a meltdown until later.

Change of subject. Trev, are you back to stay for awhile? Maybe your rain will change. We get snow in the winter, but there is nothing as beautiful as a fresh blanket of snow. (as long as you don't have to drive in it.) See, everyone should move to Utah.
:yfaint:

I'm winning and so it the headache I have today :ymad:

Cats are fed and dried, Wolf loves being dried (he's such a boy) and Teesha tells me where to get off for even trying to pick her up :lol2:

Trev, whats the next step with the eye? How are your projects going?

Agreed.

I think a vote for a worthwhile winner would be a sensible approach. Well I vote for myself to be straight into the lead.

Slogan - 'I am good at looking busy'
Manifesto - I will stop being rude to people.
Threat - I will not go away unless you vote for me.

Robert, have you even heard the term narcissistical? (I didn't say I was going to play nice.) And Carol, if I wrote a book about my life, it would be so unbelievable that even if dubbed fictional, most people would say it was too far out there to be believable. My "looney bin"would be the sanest thing in it, and you know how sane we are.

Trev, are they expecting you to have eye procedures and then drive? Stay off the Roads down under! (hope it is all going well.)
:yfaint: :yfaint:

How many narcissists does it take to change a light bulb? One. He holds the bulb while the world revolves around him

H Sandy
Trev, are they expecting you to have eye procedures and then drive? Stay off the Roads down under! (hope it is all going well.)
i havent been driving for a while now, thats why we downsized our bus so Debs can drive.
feeling like a winner.

:sheep:.....And the win goes to the kiwi with the skipping rope.:sheep:..yeah baby..............:sheep:

My turn  I am winner and I take it all _ can you tell I am watching Mamma Mia?

If you can - yes I was singing the line above! :thumright:

Trev, it stinks to not drive, doesn't it? System X, we miss your smiling face when you are not around. Wallath, what would we do do without your sheep to keep us entertained! Carol, sweet Carol, you find a way to put kindness and humor together. Trysha, besides being a fellow North American, you have a way of keeping Robert in his place, not any easy feat. Kirsty, I like that you like the good things in life, a good meal, a log on the fire, and that you have accepted beimg my adoptee. Robert, I like that you are a big teddy bear, mean and growly on the outside but stuffed with soft stuff inside. I love my Doug, who is my life. I like me, that I can find an image of a tree, a flower, our a song and comfort .myself while having a migraine.
Oh, and last one wins!

That was lovely Sandy, had a tear in my eye but that may have been muck. You really should consider writing that book. While you think about it I'll take the win.Oh,and does anyone know where Cheryls got to,she's been awfully quiet.I hope alls ok with her.

Have you been bullying her again ?

Me bullying her ! Well that's rich!

Cheryl is always hurling insults my way - correcting my spelling - refuses to agree with me - that is when she has time between attacking her customers.

Really - I am speechless !

Oh, pishshaw!!! I do NOT feel sorry for you one bit! But I did miss my friends!!

Thanks, Carol! How was your weekend? Didn't mean to worry you. Have got to get my energy back to a normal level, grrrr!

Now we have the promise of hot weather next week I have decided to give the ladies a treat and go to my drawer of Speedos and take a trip to the high diving board.

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck.

One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.
But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream.

'I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.'

The old woman smiled, 'Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?'

'That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them.'

For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table.
Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.'
Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.

You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.
SO, to all of my cracked pot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path!

It looks like the crack in my head has forgotten one of the vital people up above (again). Cheryl, how could I have forgotten my favorite banker, above my family banker nephew (he's boring), and you are the one who is going to get me all my conversion rates and launder my money when I need a quick get, away? (I don't know what I've done/going to do yet, but Robert always accuses me - well everyone of being trouble makers.)
I'm sure my crack didn't water flowers though.
But if you want to "crack up," you have to see this viral obituary from a guy that, I kid you not, grew up only three doors down from Doug: http://m.legacy.com/obituaries/salt...tterson&pid=158526785&referrer=0&preview=True
