Sounds good to me.
I prefer a good Muscatel, Spanish.
Unfortunately my system does not always take too kindly to any alcohol.
I still give it a try at times.
Quite difficult to find a good Muscatel here though.

Part of the work I do takes me to a cigar shop next door to Berry Brothers & Rudd Wine Merchants in St. James's - worlds oldest Wine Shop established in 16-- something - their website is worth a look

Thanks Trysha - I am doing ok. The computer keeps me resting...I have a feeling that I am getting another infection in my nose and throat. I am supposed to inject Humira on Monday not sure I will be with 2 infections.

Well my Utes have got to change their ways. UCLA 21 Utah 14 We are now 2-4. 0-3 in conference. They have to turn this around.

Ha ha!! I am a certified night owl. Which is not good because then I wind up sleeping till noon. oops :wink:

We had a blast at the lock in! We had about 30 kids and most of them stayed up the whole night.

I think I have been having a mini flare this week. I have just been really tired and food has not really been a favorate this week. However, injection day is Monday so I should be doing much better this week. Now I am just watching my Baylor Bears take on TCU and enjoying a verry yummy burrito from Freebirds. So that's a big win in my book! :D

I asked him and none are posted on his website. Remind me after this Ligonier thing is over. We are so busy and will have much catching up to do for about a week when it's over. Maybe he will put one on for me.
 
Now I am going for the cooking win. Just tried a new recipe for a halloween chex mix. Turned out pretty good, but it is really sweet. I love fall becasue I get to pull out some of my favorate recipes, but now I have to make some of those "Crohn's friendly."

My new avatar is the best I can do. Since I didn't pass my art class, I've got to win at something, and I choose here. I even have my earrings on to dress me up, but don't know how to draw makeup.
 
Sandy you are looking great, you got skills in art. If you like it keep doing it. Dont let someone elses subjective opinion deter you from doing something if you find pleasure in it.:biggrin:

another quiet day or am I between shifts again? Nothing happening here.Been to the shops,walked the dog twice and read the Sunday papers.Might catch up reading my book.Feel a bit aggitated today.It'll pass.

I'm still in bed its 10 am here. But I am full of a head cold and my face aches - well my cheeks, teeth and nose do. I have sent an email (3) to my IBD nurse keeping her informed of everything. I said I wont take my humira until I hear from her. I dont think that I should take it today. What does Doug think?

Doug thinks he's asleep.:wub: I wear my wub out by his taking care of our little family. I took three "wake up" pills instead of two, or I would be asleep too. But knowing what I know, (next to nothing), with all you have been through, I wouldn't take it until you have a doctor 's okay. Your poor system has been through enough shock lately. Your immunity has to be at an all time low. Please get better fast. I will keep you in my prayers.:heart::ghug::Flower::getwell:

Its a minor set back in the scheme of things - give me a couple of days and this too shall pass:hug:

I am just going to get a few more things for by my bed so I will have heaps to do.
 
Also, Kirsty, a nurse told Doug that being of on the humira one day in either direction was fine.

No Humira until you are feeling better. Since Humira is an immune suppressant, and you need your immune system working at the moment. I would put ofF the Humira for now.But I am not a doctor!
 
My nurse phoned back and she agrees with you Doug. She also gave me the advice about the day either side is ok as well. So that would good to get that info. If I havent taken by Wed afternoon then I will need to wait until a fortnights time.

Hubby is only away for two nights this week :thumright: :thumright:He comes back on Wednesday - until then I win:ybiggrin:
 
Yes, if it were a fishing forum you may get a different group of people to chat to although possibly less empathy regarding IBD and fishing :biggrin:
 
I've changed my mind. I'm moving from Utah to Kirsty's house. It's beautiful. The view is beautiful. The gardens are beautiful. Kirsty, don't you keep one thing on your cupboards in your kitchen? Don't take me wrong, I like it. Now that is a stove! My family home growing up had a similar fish pond, but our cat kept going "fishing." How did you train your cats to keep out of the pond?
I hope you feel better enough to enjoy your beauty around you.
Changed my mind again. I want Kirsty's house and a view of Utah's mountains or red rock desert areas (but not an area that is too hot).
 
Hey Sandy, we took the photos before our stuff arrived :ylol: The kitchen is now full. With the fish pond Wolf is interested but the fish hide too far down for him, and Teesha is too lazy. It is a great place to try and get over the crohns in.:cool:
 
Still, it is beautiful. I think I like the look of nothing on the cupboards. You know the old saying, everything in it's place and everything has a place. I will add off the cupboards. Our Livingroom is to crammed with furniture as the rest of our house also. I'm keeping my piano (an antique beautiful baby grand), but I've got to rethink everything else. (I guess I'd better consult Doug.) Your cat is beautiful too. Now I know when I want a fish pond to make it deep enough!

Would anyone object to me " venting" per se among the wonderful people here? I'm so depressed and have hit a brick wall. I have no family, and no one to talk to. You all seem so friendly and loving, i feel like i could share if no objections???

Well, it's 1:30 am and noone is talking back. I'm trying to get some sleep. I'll be in touch tomorrow. I love you guys!!!
 
I actually went to church today, then vented for an hour to a church leader after. See, Aches? We all need to let steam off sometimes. Then I came home and griped at Ashley (foster daughter) for an hour. I also "cooked" the very healthy meal of hotdogs on the grill with chips, etc. I also thought about getting rid of all my furniture so I could pick out new furniture to match your lighthouse picture, Teresa. (Doug liked that one too, and the "Orton affect." In fact, yesterday, I told Doug w were doing that.
 
Angel is a much nicer name than Acheallova, but given the nature of the forum, I'm sure that fits also. My foster daughter likes to call herself Angel, but somehow, it just doesn't fit. (She is no angel at times.) Somehow, we still love her.
 
As for family, my father passed away years ago. Me, being the only child of 3 to want to do something with my life promised my father on his death bed i would take care of my mother and 2 brothers as much as possible. I married at 19, had two wonderful girls (17&15) and was determined to go to college and obtain my dream of becoming a pharmacist. I've held on to this goal since i was 12. Well after returning to school with 2 small children, i did manage to graduate with honors in the doctorate program ( even though i was pregnant, working 3 jobs to support hubby n kids b/c he had brain surgery and almost died on me) with all the cards stacked against me. I moved for work, moving my bipolar, hypochondriac mother with me as i promised. I've moved her everywhere with me, no thx or graditude, supporting her as well. She ended up calling DFS saying i didn't deserve to be a mother ( totally false claims investigated) mentally abused by her as were my girls; thus, i no longer allowed them to go stay with her- comes the dfs call n restraining order. Ok, i can deal with that. I have always been healthy, or so i thought, only plagued actively with major migraines. Spent the last 4 years working for a worldwide enterprise, stressful to say the least. In May- BANG hospitalization, dropping from 132 to 87, trying to stabilize at ~95-97. Filed my ADA, was denied. Lost my job d/t my illness. Then over the past year my 17 yo thinks the world revolves around her, and having had my mothers influence, thinks she can rule her life choices. Conspiracy behind my back to drop out (3 months to go to graduate), run away n get married. One of the worst days of my life, yesterday she boarded a bus to Texas, making the comment that we'll never see her again. I'm so lost, confused, frustrated, worried and beside myself. I'm the supporter of his family and i have failed them. ......Thx for listening. I just can't get over being let go for being sick or losing my baby girl. :(
