Good morning,
My name is Janis and I was diagnosed w/ Crohn's Sept 8, 2008 when I was 38 years old. I've been experiencing severe leg pain and lower back pain over the past 3 months. As most of you I'm sure, I have a high tolerance to pain given what I've been through so I haven't inquired w/ my doctor until now as a result but the pain is not going away and it's quite unbearable at times.
I am taking Imuran, Asacol as well as Remicade infusions every 8 weeks.
I'm reading within this blog that most of you say that this ache and pain is a side effect of Crohn's and that possibly are related to B12 or Calcium issues. Have any of you contacted or rec'd info from your doctors? I have an appointment coming up and I'm curious as to what you've been advised upon to possibly help control or eliminate the pain (if anything)
