Link between Crohn's disease and fatty tissue

Hmmm...interesting....my question is, is it cause or effect? For example, many people with active disease do not digest foods/gain nutrients the same way healthy people do - could the body be adjusted to that and storing fat?.....simplistic, but interesting!

I find this fairly vague.

What is causing fatty tissue, and what is causing inflmation to target this tissue.

If they claim crohns may be caused by fatty tissue they need to be more clear in what is going on.

There is little explanation to the theory.

But still well worth discussing.

being overweight does increase your risk for colon cancer and increases production of tnf-a in the colon, so yes there could be alot of benefit to maintaining a super healthy weight in IBD, it might keep
your inflammation lower.
