Lost taste

I've been dealing with Crohn's / UC for 18 months now seen two Drs none can come up with a concrete decision. Now I've lost taste, meat and most vegetables I can taste sweets some last night I tried a beer. It was the most fabulous tasting beer I've had in 69 yrs. Lol
Anyone have similar experiences?

Are you taking any medication? If so, what? Some drugs can wreck your sense of taste, but I have not heard of Crohn's itself causing this effect.
