My 9 year old grand daughter

my 9 year old grand daughter has an ostemy this past summer where
they removed 1 1/2 ft of her large intestine and then sewed her small
intestine to her large intestine ....she just went back for a check up
and surgeon said she has a stricture. what can be done.???

Hi there and welcome to the community. I'm so sorry to hear about your grand daughter :( My heart goes out to you, her, and your entire family.

Does she have IBD such as Crohn's disease? If so, were they able to determine if the stricture is more from scarring or from active inflammation?

I also strongly suggest you check out our parents of kids with IBD forum. There's some amazing people there who can give you additional support.
