I have had the disease for over 30 years. I've had 4 resections. Most of my troubles now are from scare tisue. If my doctor says colostomy again I'm ready!
It's had a profound efect on all aspects of my life as I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. I don't want to go back 30 years so thats all I have to say for now.

Welcome to the forum!!! I too have had Crohns many years, dx 17 symptoms 30. 2 resections and hopefully avoiding a 3rd but I am getting ready for it. Yeah it really wears you down and you just have to pick yourself back up. There are alot of people to support you here, a great bunch of people. Glad you joined us!

Hi Mary L. You've had this a long time. You will be a real good source for all the newly DX members that are looking for support.

I've been DX w/ CD since 1986 and my wife and I was talking today and discussing about the 31 years we been married and she thinks that I had all the symptoms before we started dating back in 77'.
