Never going home

I've been in the hospital since Saturday.
Went from you have a stricture, to there's
Nothing wrong.. To let's do another MRI..
He was sure it was clear. Stopped my steriods
Comes in this morning. Wants to scope me
Swears he can reach the area that's
Showing the problem. Depending on the
Results may or may not get to go home tomorrow.
I'm so depressed I miss my kids. And my own bed. Just wanna
Go home.this blows!!!!!

Is there a reason they are keeping you in the hospital instead of doing these tests on an outpatient basis?? I mean are you able to sustain eating anything? I guess it all depends on what is going on. Are you in severe pain, maybe they figure they can control your pain better with IV pain meds?

You could always tell them you see no need to stay in the hospital if you feel you do not need to be there. You have to watch out with hospitals. They will keep you in order to make more $$$. I mean I see you are from the US and they charge anywhere from $2000 and up per night to stay in the hospital, and that does not even include all the extras they are charging you for..

I would access the situation and go from there. You know how you feel and if you really need to be there in patient.

Hope you feel better soon and can get home soon!!

 I'm sorry to hear what you're going through. Were you able to go home today? If not, hopefully it'll be soon! Just try to hang in there!

Did you already have the scope done, or are you waiting to get it scheduled?

Sorry so late on the update:) I finally got discharged Thursday
Night. Worst part nothing really was accomplished
With the hospital stay. Had a ct scan that first showed a stricture
Then magically became a clear scan. Then none of the ER's agreed
So steriods started then stopped. Talks of Humira then talks of stopping
All my meds. Then a MRI that showed wall thickening in
The ti. But a clean scope. The dr that was on round
This week is who is also a dr at the same office with
My current gastro. Told me he wasn't convinced it was crohns.
But gave no other ideas or plans. So talked
With my dr who came to see me and she is still convinced
It's crohns. So finally I insisted on being discharged
