Off of imuran a week

I haven't been on Imuran for a week now because of financial concerns. I am going to the pharmacy shortly. The first time, I went to the bathroom today I saw blood on the tissue paper. I also have had some minor abdominal pain. Would this all be connected to the absence of Imuran?

It could be Ron, I would have thought (in my opinion) that symtoms wouldn't come back as quick as that. I would have thought for that quick turnaround, there may have been some inflammation going on already but depends on what your colonoscopies show.

They didn't do any tests but two weeks ago the specialist said I was in remission but I have good days and bad days.

Do you know what the specialist was basing the "remission" status on?

Not sure. I guess because I wasn't going to the bathroom more than five times.

OK, the remission that is important is when you have a colonoscopy and biopsies and no inflammation is found. That should be the goal. Let your doctor know ASAP about your blood and symptoms.

I forgot that they took stool samples and blood but I wouldn't think that would be enough.
