Hi Everyone,
My 20 year old son (dx at age 13) just had a scope. He is improved with Stelara every 4 weeks but they are concerned with moderate active inflammation remaining in the rectum and mild scarring (stenosis) in anus. They want him to start on suppositories and add in MTX injectable to the Stelara. He was on MTX injectable and then oral years ago. He lives at college now and does not want to inject. I did them when he was in high school. Do you all think injections are much more effective than oral? What have you heard? We are trying to decide how much to push him learning to inject.
Thanks for your input.
