Ostomy bag won't stick due to abscess draining

Hello,
I have an ileostomy and developed fistula and abscess around stoma area. Skin is raw and I have two abscesses draining pus and some fecal matters.
I need to start remicade or humira. But meanwhile my bag will not stick due to pus drainage.
Anybody have similar problem??
I had remicade about 10 years ago. Dr is concerned with antibody. I don't know if I start remicade again if it work or not.

Try to consult with a skin or wound care specialist or an ostomy nurse. They will be able to give you products and show you how to manage it. Any kind of draining will be hard to manage without the right materials and the last thing you will need is for the healthy skin to break down as well because of the access moisture.

Katiesun, i am so sorry you have to deal with this. I had fistulas around my colostomy last year. Three of total. It was a nightmare!!! It was so hard to keep bags on and i had to change everyday. My fistulas was just where the stoma meets the skin so i had to cut bag opening so large that fistulas drained in the bag and then i used eakin paste to protect the skin between those fistulas. It wasn't perfect solution but... I had colostomy then and this january we desided that my colon had to be removed and ileostomy was made. So far everything is ok, and no fistulas around this stoma but i am afraid all the time that those come back. Hopefully not! You nees to see your stoma nurse and she/he can figured out what would be the best solution for you.

Thanks for the advise
I do have an appt with a wound nurse next Tuesday.
hopefully the wound heals fast. Otherwise Id have to get revision of stoma to another site which means losing more of small bowel. That scares me.
