Pain and soreness above belly button

So I was diagnosed with crohns disease over 12 years ago and im on pentasa and nexium for it.
anyway since this past tuesday I have been experiencing soreness and tenderness to the touch about two to three inches above my belly button to my sternum. It gets worse when i walk i have to walk somewhat hunched over, and it gets REALLY worse at night. It is accompanied with queasiness and indigestion. The pain spreads to my backside and now it is spreading to my right lower abdominal region. I thought it could be gallbladder but i had my blood taken and everything is normal (liver function, SED rate, etc), so the doctors dont think it's that, they think it is a virus since I work with children and viruses are common.
HOWEVER I know my body and I have had viruses in the past but I have never experienced pain in such a SPECIFIC AREA during a virus. It is very sore and painful.....I took a CPR course and I thought it might be a hernia but the doctors said it isnt that either... right now I am surviving on tylenol and pepto bismol but I cant go on much loner like this....does anyone know or have ANY idea or experienced this before??

Hi there and welcome to the community. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing new pains :(

My suggestion would be to get an appointment with your gastroenterologist. As you are diagnosed with Crohn's, with symptoms like that, you want to be seen by a specialist so you can be properly evaluated.

Please keep us updated as to how you're doing.

I was having pain under my right rib cage for a few years off and on and then the past 6 - 8 months it was constant. Sometimes the pain went to under my xiphoid process and around my side to my back. I finally went to have gallbladder checked and there are 2 ways they check it. Ultrasound which mine was normal and the a HIDA scan, which takes 2 hours and checks the actual function of the gallbladder. Mine was functioning at 14% and anything under 35% is a problem. I had mine removed about a month ago.

hey, i would definitely look in to your gallbladder more, even if blood tests are normal you can still have a bad GB. maybe ask your doctor about a HIDA scan?

I have na been officially diagnosed with Crohns er UC. But I am on Salofalk constantly with Prenisdone when I get really bad(thanks to my Brilliant Doctor). However I still feel like you do..pain is jus left of my belly button. Feels like a wound...like every movement makes it worse. Like shifting weight...others moving round on bed...bumps on hiway...etc. My doctor suspects inflation due to Crohns.
I hope our pain goes away...I prey for that everyday(some are better than others).
