Positive healthy pregnancy with Crohns

I just wanted to post my positive experience with Crohns and pregnancy.
(Before I caught pregnant last year I had one of my worst flares, ending up in the hospital for a month with it and losing 10% of my body weight in 2 weeks)
I built myself up strong after that flare through diet and excercise and found out I was pregnant last September around 2 months after leaving the hospital.
Im currently 8 months pregnant with my first child, a little boy.
I kept on my treatment of Infliximab infusion once every 8 weeks and my Mesalazine 3g once a day. I stopped my Infliximab in my second trimester (My specialists said that after the second trimester it passes through to the baby) and I have thankfully been fine. Mostly I have been in remission the whole of the pregnancy with the odd bad couple of days here and there. I have eaten incredibly well and my dietician said that it was the most nutritious diet he has ever seen anyone eat in all his life (I'm very much in to healthy eating) and I have luckily been able eat absolutely anything (things I've not been able to digest in years) and my baby boy is growing well-perfectly following the growth line on the chart!!
I found that the worry was the worst for me during this pregnancy, especially the first few months but after that the anxiety about having a flare settled down and I am enjoying being pregnant! My drs are keeping a close eye on me and the baby and I have been seen by someone every week be it the specialist or my midwife. I have had extra scans (every 3 weeks) also extra tests and he is doing very well in all of them.
I have started to meditate every day to keep my stress to a minimum and I do believe that that has helped some.
I am so grateful to have this child of mine and of being well enough to support him after my bad flare last year and years of waiting to be well for long enough to start trying for a baby. Every day I wake up grateful to be well and to be carrying my child.
To all of you wanting to start a family I wish you all a healthy pregancy and I send to you positive vibes .
