Green in poop...well I notice my po being green from my irons pills??? Not sure if that's helpful. Good luck!

Many possible reason for green stool. As mentioned, iron supplement can sometime cause this, green leaf vegetable, Slushes and tooo chemically colored food can also cause it. But in our case, it is often linked to the disease.

When we digest, the bile produce by your liver will contribute to determine the color of your stool. The bile will be broke down by digestive enzyme as food process in the digestive track and then it usually gets out in different shades of brown. Often, when you deal with diarrhea and a transit that is too rapid, the food is not in your digestive track for long enough and it's possible that the enzymes can't play their proper role and that the food don't get process as intended. As a result, the stool can get out green cause the bile does not "evolve" as it should and remain green.

For what it's worth, I've heard the same as psychojane - I always thought green poo meant the material wasn't spending enough time in your system. I've had this too, and was told not to worry about it too much, that it's just another charming side effect of things moving through your system too quickly.

Hope this helps,
-Em
