Hello all. I'm a 34y old crohns sufferer. Been on all the pharmaceuticals, have never been in full remission. I deal with it as best I can. When Iv started work/uni...anything, it stops me in my tracks. EVERY TIME!!! I'm a single parent, living in Australia. Iv recently started a bit of physical work, as I'm desperate to pay my daughters school fees (still owe this year and in a few months, starting a new school year in Jan, I'll need another thousand and uniforms) as well as a decent xmas for her, as well as replacing her furniture which Iv promised for years. I can't save on disability payments. We JUST get by. I don't have a problem with working, but my body never keeps up. In only 2 weeks, it's already constant nausea, to the point I'm forcing food down just to have some nutrition as constant d alone, let alone physical activity....well I know my body needs it. But I'm constantly bloated not eating at work, taking questran Just to stop myself needing the loo at work. After work I try to eat, but it's like my body gets worn down in no time, to a point that I probably should be bed ridden. Not that I am. But I know my body is struggling, but what do I do?
I guess I'm just hoping some of you fellow crohnies have tips to increase appetite...reduce nausea. I'm just at my wits end with this bloody disease!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm living on cigarettes and coffee. (Yes I know smoking isn't good, but when money is a constant stress, and the fact that I want to provide everything for my child, and this just keeps happening. And coffee... I don't drink it on work days, but the rest of the time, at least it's a bit of sugar and milk. And at least I can stomach it.)
Ps. Yes Iv tried lactose free, gluten free, you name it. Diet isn't the answer. That much I know from endless personal experience. Please help. xoxo
