Scared 😢 New to this and really scared. Due in hospital for tests tomorrow

Any support or advise would be greatly welcome.
I have been having loose stools and constipation for a while now and have tummy pains followed by a sudden need to get to the toilet asap.
My GP took bloods etc but foind nothing of concern although I did keep showing him my belly button that is leaking a yellow/brown goo thay some times has bits of stringy things in it and he said its unusal but nothing to worry about. He have me antibiotics and refered me for tests ref my bowels.
I saw the consultant on Thursday and mentioned the belly button and he says he suspects its a fistula???? He has ordered a CT scan which is to follow and a camera tomorrow.
The belly button hole healed for twi days and tonight its throwinh lots out which is un-nerving me.
The consultant said he will see me in Sept for the results but in the mean time what do I do regarding my leaky belly?

Thanks
Karen

Hi Karen and welcome.

Sorry you're having issues. Glad things are being investigated.

As far as the fistula goes, cover it with gause. If you experience fevers, chills, generally feel unwell call your doctor. Have you been referred to a GI specialist?

Sending you my support.

Yes I have. He seems really nice but didnt explain much. My Grandad had Crohns so he suspects it may be that. Im not sure though so thought I would seek advice here as well😳

The ct scan is good for detecting fistulas. I've got crohns and very familiar with fistulas.
