Serotonine-dopamine connection with Crohn's and fat depositions

a) I am Greek, female, 57 yeats old. I ve been diagnosed with 3 autoimmune deseases in the last 5 years -one of them (6 months ago) is Crohn's.
B)I wonder, there was an interesting research paper in 2010 about the connection of serotonie-dopamine imbalance with crohns desease. Why there was no follow up? Did anybody else looked it up since then?
c) I have lipid-fat depositions because of the daily use of 30 mg of cortizone (prezolon and medrol in Greece). Did anybody have the same problem in his body -not only face and shoulders but belly, back also -fat has been "spreading" all over my body. What did he / she did (since the medicine cant be stopped)?
Thanks

The therapy used in the serotonin-dopamine case is in the study, it's all things available at a local pharmacy / vitamin store, so if you wanted to talk to your doctor about trying it it's very realistic, it's generally safe but there is some risk with serotonin toxicity you should be aware of.

There was a thread on healingwell where 3 or so people tried it. Two dropped out because one of the core supplements 5-HTP caused diarrhea.

The doctor involved in the study is fairly open about discussing it, and the exact medications and methods are posted, the only details left out are urine testing to get exact details on balancing levels, but it seems like the dosing is the same regardless.

I'm currently on my first week of the therapy and not experiencing diarrhea.

much oblijed for your anwer, i just cant stop thinking if its promissing why not more research and tests and clinical trials on it from medical community. I mean since the other options are so risky and symptom orieented anyway. THANKS again -greetings from (almost) bankrupt Greece, we are doing fine by the way. Wish more people were as helpful as you
