Seton placement

Hello all. I am 34 years and i had a seton placement on Thursday. I was told by my doctor that it would drain a lot to help the fistula feel better and drain completly. Since Thursday there was just a little bit drainage and today i have a lot of pain. Also i noticed that next to the seton it is swollen just like before the seton placement. Is it normal? Can it be that the seton was placed in the wrong place?

Sounds like you should contact your Dr if you haven't already...the seton could be plugged up and not draining - are you able (or been told to) to clean around it and make sure it isn't scabbed over?
