Stelara

15 year old just started Stelara when Remicade was no longer working fully. Had first dose 4 weeks ago. Sed rate is finally normal but once again still losing blood somewhere since Ferritin continues to deplete even after large amount of iron infusions. Any thoughts? Thank you

Stelara requires a bridge therapy (steriods) until it kicks in
Stelara is extremely slow acting
Takes minimum of 6 months to work
For some close to a year
Ds needed 90 mg every 4 weeks for his to work
It took closer to 8 months from the first infusion

He has been on Stelara over a year now

Give it time - she's had inflammation for quite a while now, right? So it will take a while to heal and Stelara is known to be slower than other biologics. 4 weeks is very early in - I know how hard it is as a parent, but you have to be patient.
