Still lurking!

Hello all,

Been a while since I have been on here. Thought I would give an update though:

Well I stopped seeing my gi because I was starting get the idea he thought everything I was going through was in my head by giving me medication they give amputees to deal with phantom pain of the lost limb.

Silly I know but I just wanted to carry on with my life because there was obviously nothing he could do for me.

Still have the normal things I had before like abdominal pain (sometimes severe enough for me to go a&e). Painful wrists, so much I can't bend them. On and off D but only three times a day. My son was born in September last year and to date I have lost 22lbs, although I assume it's because of a new baby. I have started to get very lethargic, feeling weak and tired at times. This normally happens when I am walking around town and sometimes need to just come and sleep.

I know only a doctor can diagnose me so really don't expect anyone on here to do it lol :ylol2:. Just starting to feel down again because this is starting to suck again lol

Chat soon everyone.

Forgot to mention something else....

Even in winter lying with an open window above me I was still waking to a soaked bed. I seem to sweat for any reason at night.

I'm sorry to hear you have a dismissive doctor. What leads you to believe it's crohns? It certainly sounds like something is wrong but maybe a general doctor can help figure out which specialist to see.

Oh gosh, that sounds awful, then! I'm sorry you had to deal with that.

I've heard some people on the forum recommend a medication called Levsin, and when they use it they stop getting night sweats. :)

The doctor originally thought I had as did a colonoscopy and I was ulcerated. The biopsie came back showing I had a parasite when has been dealt with but my symptoms still persist. Believe I do hope it isn't crohns but it's depressing when the doctor looks as confused as you are.

Hello all,

Had my first MRI today after seeing my gi again. Seems to have gone well. Will see him again next week to get my results.

Take care everyone.

Hello all, got the results from my MRI, it's showed thickening in various places. My bloods were slightly low but nothing exceptional. So now I have a colonoscopy booked for Friday next week to get some biopsies.

On Friday morning I woke up with a fever, cramping and muscle aches, today the fever is gone but the cramping is still going. I am so tired of feeling ill, it feels (drama queen) like I will never feel normal again.

Well that's my update.
