Stomach pains and no bowel movements help!

Hi,
I was just wondering if someone could tell me if this is normal, the last 2 days I've had pretty bad stomach pains hurts to walk and even sit down there is a dull pain there all the time but then suddenly they get so painful they kinda of feel like contractions when in labour I feel like I need to go to the toilet but when I try I can't x

I would make sure to call your Dr. about this.

I get that sometimes but it passes with time. Sometimes we start thinking more than most people do when we have IBD, or think we have IBD.

If you get a fever or start to through up I would go to the ER.

I don't want to jump the gun but in my experience pain+no BM = blockage. If the pain gets worse (if it's a blockage it WILL get very VERY painful) you should go to the ER

Are you feeling bloated? have a decreased appetite?

Yeah feeling bloated I feel like I need to go but just can't and when I have managed its Diarrhoea..... ( I'm so sorry not sure how to put it) and that's only once today x

Could possibly be a partial obstruction along with overflow diarrhoea? Hopefully its not and your pain gets better

Hiya hunni. I know how u feel, I'm feeling like that today. I do get it on and off. The only way I deal with it is drink plenty of water and rest. My hot water bottle is my new best friend, that helps with the pain a little. If it doesn't wear off thou I'd get intouch with your doc. Good luck, chin up and keep me updated xxx

This is awful, I have an appointment on Tuesday to have a camera thing ( not sure of the name) with my consultant so hope she helps me x

Can you or have you taken stool softeners? Make sure you keep up on water.
My Grace has horrible problems with being backed up. Call and ask what softener you should be on.

Is it possible to give yourself an enema? That's what I do, as a person without Crohn's disease, just a broken body from childbirth.

This is what my son was getting recently. He was going to the toilet around 20 times a day because of the major stomach cramps, but could rarely pass anything. He was given Buscopan tablets [ 10 mg ] for the cramps and paracetamol which helped. I think you can buy Buscopan over the counter. This and having a hot water bottle on his stomach helped a little.
When he eventually had tests, capsule endocopy, it was found his crohns was now in his small bowel. It could be possible that the same is happening to you? Is the "camera thing" a colonoscopy?

I am waiting for tests results to see if my crohns has spread to my small bowel. I had an MRI scan. I feel really backed up today. Its such a horrible feeling. My stomach is really rumbling thou. Xx

Awwww Stacey hope u feel better soon, I have the camera test done tomorrow and will talk to the consultant then, I'm in agony the pains are worse then they have been since been unwell x

That sounds like what I have been going through. I have wicked internal hemmeroids that do THIS. Can na go and it hurt to walk and sit.Mine get soo bad it does block up at times.
Are you allergic to dairy products? I found when I take any kind of laxtatives it makes it worse. Diary products ease my pain and help the bowel move EVERYDAY.
My pain was on the left side...top n bottom.
Colonoscopy/Edoscopy is na fun, I had two sets since January and still no answer.
Just the roids and now a polyp in the colon.
Do na rule out hemmeroids(see any blood?). Do not strain too hard.
It is like the poo is solid...but it becomes almost water like then spray action lol. Sorry for getting too graphic.
I did na even feel the internal roids at first.
Stool softeners are a excellent idea, I use em everyday. Movement everyday is important and can no movement can lead to very BAD feelings(Speaking form experience)
