Welcome to Crohn's Forum, a support group for people with all forms of IBD. While this community is not a substitute for doctor's advice and we cannot treat or diagnose, we find being able to communicate with others who have IBD is invaluable as we navigate our struggles and celebrate our successes. We invite you to join us.
Sulfalazine was my first medication I was put on when I was first diagnosed. It did well for me for years, until I needed something stronger. But, I'm afraid I don't have ileal crohns...
I’ve been using it for five years. Actually quit using it for a couple years as I thought I was over it all and went about my merry way. Bad move. Back on it for a year now, but thinking I might need to increase my dose as I’ve been having a lot of painful flares recently. But yes, it works fine if taken as rx’d. Don’t know for how long as I messed up by going off it for a year or two. I should know better.
