I hope everyone is doing well out there! I've been lurking around a little, but since our move to California and trying to get settled in I haven't posted much.
Since my surgery, and starting Tysabri in March I've still been having all sorts of problems having D upwards between 10-20 times a day, loss of appetite, nausea and feeling very tired. I haven't had a Tysabri infusion since September because of moving and insurance problems and things like that. It took me a while to get a new GI out here, so I saw him last week after a 2 month wait. He didn't feel comfortable treating me with my complicated history, so he referred me to a Crohn's specialist here in San Diego at UCSD.
I saw two doctors today. One was a GI who was studying to become an IBD specialist, and the other was a Crohn's specialist who was awesome. They spent all kinds of time with me today (about an hour and a half) talking and listening to me. They agree that something is going on (regardless of my last GI saying i'm i remssion with all of these problems) So for the next month I'm going to be having a few tests done, but I'm just so relieved that someone is finally listening and I don't feel like a nutcase anymore! He said the best case scenario is that I'm just not absorbing bile salts like I should, but he wants to rule out other possible causes just in case. I'm very hapy someone is finally listening to me!
