The staff at my gi's office

I got a call today from my specialist's office. I saw them last month. They still don't have the results of my latest entrrography. My GI is great. His father has CD. So he totally understands. The staff is not good at relaying messages.

The Dr is only as good as his office staff. If you at get the much needed info from him because the staff is bad, the ball gets dropped frequently. I know, I used to do that for a living. Its the whole your only as strong as your weakest link saying.

I hope you get your answers soon, waiting is not cool!

In defense of you Dr's office: sometimes the fax is sent, but doesn't come through. Then we have to call and ask for it again. Sometimes we put it on the Dr's desk, but he doesn't review it because he is off or busy with an emergent case. Sometimes we get back preliminary results and the lab drops the ball about sending the final report. There are almost infinite factors involved in relaying information to patients, and sometimes it is crummy staff. But frequently it is an issue out of the hands of the office staff and we catch hell for it from patients.
