I was prescribed Asacol MR 800mgs three times a day for my Lymphocytic colitis. After 10 weeks finally had solid BMs and thought- yeah! Following week was also good, had to let GP know how I was doing. No sooner had I told her things were good and the Asacol seemed to be working when back came the diarrhoea, the rumbling tum and some fatigue.
I am due to see GI doc for first time in May but not sure whether to wait till then or contact my GP again.
GP said at the outset that if Asacol didn't help then next step was Entocort.
Should I wait to see the GI and carry on with the Asacol or not. I just don't know.
