Hello, I've been reading this forum for a while now and finally decided to join.
I have been dealing with digestive problems for the past 5 months now, on and off bout of severe diarrheah often with blood and sometimes i can get constipated and my stomach swells making me look about 6 months pregnant.
The pains I experience are agonising and leave me in bed clutching a hot water bottle or led in a hot bath.
My doctor at first thought I had gastorenteritis but when it continued she started to explore other options and referred me to gasto for a colonoscopy to test for Crohn's, unfortunately the soonest appt I could get is January the 19th ( 6 months after referral) I have just had a blood test and stool test wgich should come back this week.
At the moment I'm at my wits end, I'm constantly having to take time off work and I have a 2 year old son so on very bad days my mum is looking after him.
I feel exhausted all the time and I ache like I have the flu. It's completely draining me and I just don't know what to do. I find myself crying all the time and constantly stressed out because I just don't know what's happening with me, I just don't feel like anyone (doctors) is listening to me.
Is this common to feel like this?
Thanks xx
