Update and colonoscopy prep question

Hello everyone I know I haven't posted in a while and I just want to let everyone know what's going on with me now. Well after I saw my new G.I. and he took me off the Imuran on and put me on Lialda I've had my ups and downs good and bad days. My referral finally went through to see the Yale New Haven specialist which I did last week. He seems very thorough and thinks that I should be on stronger medication but first wants to do a colonoscopy and an MRI which I am having done on Wednesday and Thursday of this coming week. Now I have a question about the colonoscopy prep it's when I've never done- 4 Delcolax and MiraLAX mixed with Gatorade has anyone done this type of prep before ? I'm afraid the Dulcolax is going to give me severe stomach cramps like most laxatives do. Anyways he says if it is scar tissue I will need surgery and if it's inflammation he will find the right combination of medicine for me. I will post again when I have some more information.

Thanks for the update! Hopefully you'll finally get some answers and be able to be feeling better soon. I too have a colonoscopy coming up and pulled out the info for mine. I'm afraid that I've never heard of using both Delcolax and Miralax at the same time. I think I would ask about that. Here's what my info says:

238GM bottle of Miralax
4 Bisacodyl oral tablets
10 oz bottle of Magnesium Citrate (only green/clear)
64 oz bottle of Gatorade/Powerade/Vitamin Water (No Red, Orange, or Purple)

The Magnesium Citrate is a new one for me...

I have a scope booked for this Friday, with the same prep. The dulcolax is too start softening anything that is already in there, I admit but don't recommend it, having skipped that part when I forget to get those little pills.....reminds me I have to check that I have some!

I find this prep the easiest one, make sure you mix the Miralax up in advance to give it a chance to fully dissolve. My daughter actually likes drinking the mix-although in a smaller concentrate, for her constipation issues.....

I use the lemon line flavour personally....

I've done this exact prep 3 times. Generally, the Dulcolax does not cause cramping. It is one of the more mild laxatives. The MiraLax/Gatorade combo is a good one. It is much easier to get down than the other colonoscopy preps.

If you get bloated or nauseated, walk around your house, even if it is just in a small circle. Walking helps get things moving.

Cross-stich gal--The 4 bisacodyl tablets are the same thing as Dulcolax.

Hi , so I'm a little concerned about this prep . I took 2 Dulcolax at 4 and two hours later drank half the MiraLax Gatorade mixture as directed , It is now 9:20 and I still haven't had 1 bm . Is this normal ?
