Hi all!i just wanted to share whats been going on with me. I was just discharged from the hospital with a flare up and kidney stones..that was new and fun!:frown:
But I passed the stones and my flare has calmed down for now.i went to a new hospital for me and saw a different doctor who seems really good.strangely,he's a colorectal surgeon who also treats IBD patients medically!he didn't blast me with Iv steroids(thank god!) but treated me with more supportive care...Iv fluids,nutritional supplements such a zinc and magnesium replacements,pain meds,bowel rest. I was begging him for an ileostomy and he said to give him a few days first. I did and things have calmed down.
I am going to an IBD clinic in a week to get another viewpoint as I don't really know this new doctor and i trust the IBD clinic. It's an expense for me to go but I feel I'll get some peace of mind..
I do have a question..does anyone deal with fatty poop?mine is really awful with bile salt diarrhea too. Even on a low fat low residue diet..
AND..I so love this forum!:applause:you all have been a lifesaver to me!ive been able to vent on several occasions and it's meant the world to me!my family and friends are great but there's only so much I can say to them..who wants to hear in depth about poop?!!
