Visually scope looks inflamed -biopsy normal

For another parent not my kiddo -Ds is good


Crp high
Diarrhea belly pain weight loss
Cte showed moderate to severe inflammation consistent woth UC from rectum up to splenic fixture
Scope visually showed Mild to moderate inflammation rectum up -no ulcers but moderate inflammation
Biopsy results -normal no signs of inflammation

any ideas????

Kiddo has other autoimmune disorders but none they explain this
Stool tests negative

Raised CRP is indicative of inflammation.
Cte and Scope are indicating the presence of moderate to severe inflammation
Sounds like UC....could also be one of the other inflammatory conditions....
The negative biopsy could be a result of sampling a negative area...this is why multiple
biopsies are taken.
Has the specialist made any recommendation for treatment

Kiddo is on multiple biologics /immunosuppressants for other stuff (none for crohns or UC )
But Gi placed kiddo on entocort for two weeks while they try to figure things out

Multiple biopsies were taken from an upper and lower scope even though area looked inflamed from rectum up
Nothing showed as abnormal on any of the biopsies
