Vitamin deficiency

Inflammatory markers aren't a good indicator for my son's active diease. So his blood work will be normal yet he will show vitamin deficiencies in b12 and D at times. Right now he is dealing with iron deficiency anemia.

Even if there is no inflammation, if the location of past disease is in the ileum then the build of of scar tissue can cause malabsorption issues that can lead to vitamin deficiencies. This can occur also with ileocecectomy or small bowel resection.

All of my inflammatory markers are good, however I'm having severe hypokalemia, low magnesium, low Vit D, and low ferritin. So it's definitely possible.
