what are the reasons to postpone humira shot

what is the reasons and when to postpone biologic med when you sick. what are the rules to not to give scheduled shot. just asking my daughter is coming down with cold . she is tired, temperature 98.9, feeling little nausea. shuld I still give it to her? i cant reach doctor , it is sunday.

My personal opinion is that a cold is minor enough that giving the shot should be fine. But I'm not the doctor. It's really the doc's call.

In my experience, giving shots of biologics a day early or a day late doesn't make any significant difference. The blood concentrations of the drug are not so volatile that a few hours or a day late is going to make that much of a difference.

Accordingly, I suggest you hold off on the shot until Monday morning and then call the doctor's office and get instruction from them on when to give the shot.
