I saw the GI today and he told me I have reactive colitis: the biopsies from the colonscopies (2012 and 2015) show that something is happening, it says "reactive changes" in the biopsy reports. During the colonoscopy there is visible inflammation and ulceration. He said that means my intestines are reacting to something. But....he is not interested in finding out what is causing the "inflammation". He says it is not justified. Darn I should not have put make-up on today, it always makes me look healthier.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? What is reactive colitis? And what is my body reacting to? Where do I go from here? Elimination diet?
